    Hi everyone!

A poster at Allspark.com named Powered Convoy provided a scan of Classics Straxus's (Darkmount) instructions. What's so special? Simple! In a mistake that's currently becoming standard, Straxus has Skullgrin's head in the instruction manual! :D

I don't think this has been seen before, though, if it has, I apologize

Here's a link to the original poster's thread, and I'm attaching the photo below.

Doesn't look much like anything, just a standard Decepticon head. There isn't much resemblance to G1 Skullgrin's head (Pretender or otherwise).

EDIT: Upon further inspection, not too bad. I do see the horns on the side now.

Looks good to me. Now I'm left wondering whether to get Darkmount or wait for Skullgrin. Not sure which character is a better fit for the mold.

Correct, though, Hasbro themselves stated that Generations, like Universe before it, "in-house" is still the Classics line. They keep changing the name because that's what retailers want done.

Though, I still like that acronym "C.H.U.G."! :D  :lol

Man, I was totally hoping for a ram-skull style head on this guy.

I don't see enough here to form an opinion one way or another, positive or negative.

I was hoping he'd get some sort of signature weapon, something else to distinguish him from Straxus. There's still a chance for that, right?

Me too, but you can see some horns on spikes on that head. So there are some nods to the original Pretender shell.

As for weapons, I too am hoping for something unique to the character.

...What are you talking about? It is, more or less (saw him at Botcon).

I'd say Darkmount, overall, given the giant pickaxe. Though they both fit pretty well overall.

    Nope.avi

Anyway, holy shit that looks pretty good. Reminiscent of a ram skull without straight up being one. I like it. Then again, I'd like it no matter what it looked like, considering Skullgrin is one of my favorite TFs.

Never noticed that, but on checking Straxus' instructions, there it is. Need to get a new one though as he has stress marks on both sides of his face straight out of the package :(

Yeah, I've been attacked by a C.H.U.G. before. Oh, wait...

I was never much of a Straxus/Darkmount fan, but if Hasbro are going to be remaking a Pretender for the line, I'd definitely be interested in picking up this mold.

    Probably Terradive's remould.

I thought they said Skullgrin would be getting a new weapon, Blurr is and Terradive's remould will be so I wouldn't bet against it.

On his face? How did it manage that?

I'm glad I'm waiting for this. The head looks more interesting, and the color scheme is likely to look more menacing too.

    Frowning?
