Got a request for an action master classics Sideswipe in his true G1 self, just finished him off. Fully articulated with a Honda Saint head (far superior to the MP one IMHO), I think the Tracks figure lends itself well: I've already tidied up the tiny bit of Tracks hood you can spy on the rear of the legs....didn't notice that till I had taken the pics. and the doors may be taken from the backpack and attached to his arms but that would be the final job if needed. Left his spoiler as a rotating heel to match his foot position to give him a really solid stance. Apart from that I think the pics speak for themselves! His brother should be along in the next few days Hope you all like!
Cheers man! Cheers dude, thanks for the amazing head sculpt! Cheers Thanks man, he's about an inch smaller than the official MP Sideswipe so not that bad Glad you like him, he'll/they'll look great in your collection Need to press on with Sunny now...... Cheers man!
Amazing work pal - he is stunning. He looks like he's walked off the cartoon - turned out really nice!
Took me a minute to realize just what I was looking at here... the Tracks mold, eh? WOW! So it still transforms then, I gather. Nice work... nice call on rearranging the Tracks transformation to suit Sideswipe. I would never have thought of that! zmog
No, if you read the first page, he said Action Master Sideswipe. Plus, he's missing the front wheels in vehicle mode. But, either way, he looks pretty show accurate there. Good job
Cheers man Just take your time man, I'm nowhere near the best here but anything is possible with the right tools Yup, fully articulated action master as requested. I guess with extra work it would be possible to get him transforming but you'd need to add a swing to the hood and most likely add doors to the arms so you could get the roof closer to the body. Wheels would have to stay oh his shoulders too and all of that would detract from the cartoon look.
Disappointing, but yeah... I missed that bit about the Action Master in the opening sentence (despite the fact that my first impression was that it WAS an actionmaster). However, I think my point remains, in that you COULD actually achieve a credible Sideswipe transformation with the Tracks mold, pretty much just by reversing the direction of the car. It would be a much trickier re-shell, and the positioning of the doors would probably be the biggest challenge, but I think it's entirely possible. Hmmm. zmog
Ta! Sunny will be ready by the weekend hopefully. He is totally do-able, I would say you would just need to use a swing for the hood and you'll nearly be there but he'd look quite different. He's really coming on now, I'm already painting in the details in anticipation of his new chest drying
