I saw a while ago a picture of Classics Optimus Prime combined with energon Wing Saber.
Can somebody tell me how is it done? is any modification required?
If the figure just fits in, does it stay well, or is it loose?

I saw that as well. No modification bbut you have to watch out or you'll chip the paint. You look for that post again because I remember the guy posted the exact way he placed Prime's arms and legs.

now, to ask him how is it done  

 

It's really simple. Bend the knees, flip out the pads, and the legs clip right on there with no issues whatsoever. The arms are a bit trickier, you basically fold OP's arms such a way so that his shoulder can peg into it. This does make him a bit unsightly from the sides and back, but from the front, he is 100% badass.

Would this work for the alternate way the Wing Saber parts combined, the "Battle" mode with the giant cannons on the shoulders?

 

^Battle mode does NOT WORK, sorry, I've tried.

 

After a year and a half, I have finally been able to get a Wing Saber for a good price.

I reccommend this to everyone, he looks really nice.
Honestly, WingSaber isn't that good himself, but if you find a cheap one, he's worth it just to make this combination.

 

That makes me want to keep my wing saber!
