The odds of a Classics Overlord being done, given the fact that Black Shadow just got made, are pretty decent. However, I'm sort of thinking that if they DID do Overlord, they would stick with one alt mode. Curious what you would choose if stuck with one alt mode for him: Tank or Jet?

I'd say tank myself, as there are TONS of 'Con aircraft as it is.

I'd prefer to have both, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Jet.

 

Given those options I'd probably choose neither, but I would be intrigued as to the design. The combination gave Overlord a unique look and config, it would be a shame to lose that. It would be like doing Sixshot with only one alt. mode. Pointless.

If they can only do one altmode, then it's not worth doing, and they should do something else instead.

If he's not done right I'd rather they not do him at all. If they did try to fit him into a deluxe, I'd say he'd probably wind up a tank of some kind. I'd much rather they have a slightly smaller than deluxe tank and a slightly smaller than deluxe jet at a voyager pricepoint though, if they ever do classics voyagers again. If not I'm sure they could squeeze him into whatever they're doing now, like classics voyagers turning up in RTS.

I share the sentiment that he really should have both modes combine, but if your making me choose I'll go with tank.

 

It would make the most sense if a hypothetical Overlord were a retool of a hypothetical Generations Blitzwing. Tank and jet. It's not the most ideal choice as everyone would rather have an updated version of the G1 toy, but I'm trying to be realistic. This is also the most likely and most cost effective route that HasTak would take.

 

If I had to choose one, I'd go jet. All the tank did was make up his legs anyway. The bulk of the body was made up of the jet.

 

this, don't bother if you can't do it right, i could see a blitzwing remold working though (depending on how they did blitzwing)

 

I think they could make him into an Omega Supreme remold given his base, tank, jet/rocket config

 

I prefer a combined jet-tank mode.

 

I bet we'll see a Classics Blitzwing before we see a Classics OS.

Ya know...I could honestly see HasTak maybe doing a classics-esque Blitzwing and use the mold once more, with a different head as Overlord. Granted, they look absolutely nothing alike, but then again, neither did Straxus or Skullgrin and they shared a mold.

This and it would need to be at least voyager and preferably Ultra or leader class. Deluxe class just cannot do him justice.
