Just a quick update to show the hands in use holding a mace and the general pose ability of the figure (which is superb).

The mods on this worked really well. I almost bought this figure to match with my PC-16 figure

Thanks. He really is a steal.
Sales price is around $18 plus shipping. Works out to be around $25 all in. And he's a great figure. I would totally recommend if you're still considering.

My main reason for not getting it was I switched to a Legends only collection last year.

Well, looks like you have an awesome Legends Megatron in the works for 2019, through Iron Factory. That figure looks like its going to be tremendous.

Megatron now sporting a bit of paint to bring him closer to his G1 self.
Inside and front of legs painted dark grey, accent red around the sides, lighter grey on front of waist and then a splash of blue and yellow on the front of the mid section. Also, although it didn’t catch the right angle for the camera, I painted the rear mounted barrel in grey to match the rest of his coloring.
I ran out of black, so I didn’t get to paint the fusion cannon or finish up the hip skirts. That will probably be done this weekend.
This figure really is awesome. But i still need to get the confidence to try and figure out how to use modeling putty to change that cheeky grin into a menacing smirk or frown.

So, I loaded the add on parts to Shapeways but I haven’t made them available for purchase yet.
It’s actually ridiculous because Shapeways valued the hands at $8....per hand.

While I’m totally happy to make them available, I have to say that Shapeways pricing (which was always expensive) seems to have gotten out of control.

If anyone has any experience or ideas for reducing the cost on that platform...feel free to let me know.

The other thing I am considering is trying to cast the parts - but I don’t have any experience of that :(

I've seen others on there attach multiple parts by sprues as a way, but I don't know for sure.

Yeah. Thanks for the idea. I will look into that and see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed.

It should do, a lot of designers use sprues because the cost of printing separate parts is so pricey
