Hi there since this was easy no wip this time... Took me a while to decide but wanted to keep the SE repaint 99,9% unharmed! So I only remove the front wheels and the rest was added Might make him a G1'ish weapon when adding him to the team Only hard part left is making it into Menasors arm unharmed Enjoy C&C welcome BTW... I've decided to make a kit called G6F-004, there are a few options: It contains A: add-on wheel assembly + wheels, B: the head & C: the weapons! After many of you asked me how & what I thought of lending an extra hand 1. It's obvious that you'll need 2 front wheels of a classics Mirage etc. (or KO) 2. After removing the 2 Dragstrip front wheels (with a soldering iron) a peg size 6.0mm is free (B) 3. Pieces of plastic which hold enough room for 2 wheels next to each other (A) 4. Suitable pegs to mount onto (A) which allow you to space the wheels (A)------- (B)---0--- (C)-o-0-o- 5. Drill a 6.0mm hole into (A) for the piece to slide over (B) 6. Screw the wheels (this time tight) onto at least 1.5cm pegs (C) 7. Tape 2wheels (with or without a 0.5-1mm spacer) together 8. When leveled glue them onto (A) (I also drove in a screw by heating) 9. Fit onto Dragstrip, look and note how much you have to trim the pegs (C) 10.Unscrew the wheels, trim down to the right size as noted previous 11.Mount the wheels onto (C) (make sure they can still turn) 12.Repeat click here for more detailed pics: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=27258424&stc=1&d=1317297190 http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=27258425&stc=1&d=1317297190 http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=27258426&stc=1&d=1317297190 Have fun everyone, let me know if there's someting missing and I'll update!! UPDATE2: Some stated, the repainted Mirage head kept me away from a 10/10 I did some thinking and went all out .... thnx guys!!! UPDATE2B: Small addition seems like I forgot to mention where the new head came from It's from a G2 Volt and has the stem cut of a 4.0mm or 4.5mm hole drilled for the balljoint. Instead of an actual socket I used this trick cuz I believe it actually works better in some cases, also removed the Mohawk like piece on it's head and then painted! I need to know who's interested? Plus what they want since there are a few options: 1.just the kit (no paint) [G6F-004:A/B/C] 2.full kit painted [G6F-004:2A/2B/2C] 3.full kit painted and assembled [G6F-004:3A/3B/3C] 4.make your own combo, like [G6F-004:3A/2B] which means: painted wheels mounted. accompanied with unpainted head and no weapons What seems like a fair price? I was thinking something like, but could be considered out of my head: 1=35euro 2=65euro 3=90euro EXTRA: this is w/o shipping and those who want it mounted obviously need to send there figure first UPDATE3: Have included a close-up of the head, if necessary it could be modded some more!
You can't tell me you didn't know that Dragstrip from G1 had the quad fronts? Anyways, looks really good man, really good, what did you use for the quads?
Holy crap I feel ******ed now. It's been so long since I've watched it that I didn't even realize it. Congrats to G60Force for making an authentically true G1 Dragstrip. Wow, I still cannot believe that I did not catch that. Ugh.
very cool? and yes please tell us what you used to make the quads, i think i see some lego parts am i right.
Check out some of these other Dragstrips that other members have done... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/382085-classic-stunticons-drag-strip-dead-end.html http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/336050-g1-classic-dragstrip.html http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/260953-tfu-dragstrip-tfu-bw-tigertron.html http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/210306-classics-drag-strip.html I fairly certain that a few of the ones out there combine...possibly one of the other artists might have an idea as to how to fix up a way to attach the arm to the body without harming Dragstrip himself?? Lookin good!
Thnx have seen them in the past But I'm sure I will figure it out that's the fun of it I'm still not sure if I'm going for a: 1. easy route by mounting Dragstrip onto a frame 2. hard rout by making it a fully functioning arm without harming him thnx Thnx bro! thank you thanks it had a better outcome than I expected too JK To all above, thank for your interest... maybe an instruction will help 1. Agreed, looks factory made. Man, if you get him another head you are my hero. I absolutely hate this Mirage head for DS.
