Despite him being a conehead and the limited arm movements. I think the bot mode is awesome.

Excellent work on this, Stu! It really gives that Blitzwing vibe and feel, while being different than the other customs we've seen done of him. I gotta say, your work keeps getting better and better (it's always been good, but dare I say it looks "pro", my friend).

This has turned out so nicely, just as others have already said. What I gain from your post here is a very sentimental affection for your work. There are several projects that can shake your fist, but in the end it's so very gratifying. I believe that if I'd made this myself and it turned out like this, I'd be just as thrilled or even more.

Perhaps you can still take care of some of the rubbing issues? When you make mine, hopefully you can iron those out :D :D :D

I'm curious, now that you have this completed, if you did return to this project, what are some things you'd do differently?

You've hit another home again, man; great work :thumb

Now this is how a triplechanger is supposed to be! :)  All modes integrated together, with minimal overhanging kibble & a sweet-ass paintjob to boot! Top-notch work NP! :thumb

I was holding out for a Classics release of BW at some point, but I doubt that's going to happen.
Plus We NEED a Classics Wheeljack first.

The conehead grew on me. the loss of articulation was something I was willing to live with for my collection.
I'm not much of a poser,.....................

    Wait, that did'nt sound right.

Take two: I'm not much for posing my TF's.
    Yeah that will work. :lol

Thanks, Brian. I had to shake some "ring rust" off, as it's been so long for me to actaully paint a custom.

Go for it. Once I post a custom, anyone is welcome to "copy" it.
I always looking forward to seeing other takes on customs.

Yeah, this one became quiet a pet project for me, over the winter.
I don't "shake my fist" at it because I'm unhappy with it. i just really hate working the seeker mold. Because of all the lil rub areas on it 7 i ended up adding more.

"if", BIG IF. i ever returned to this project. i would spend alot more time working on all the rub areas of the seeker mold & the mods I did.
As well as finding a way to get up & down arm movement.
But as I said, he's perfect for my collection.

Tanks mode turned out great, but I'm really happy with Jet mode.
I think it just looks badass.

Again, that really was a main goal for me with this project.
I'm really glad it comes across in the final product.

Right. Yeah, I got what you meant by shaking your fist at it. You hate working with the mold, but it's a bittersweet process because of what you end up with. Then the payoff ends up rocking :)

Yeah, it sounds like you're really thrilled with what you've ended up with, and now it's time for shelf display :)  Honestly, rubbing areas don't bother me much if they're not that bad. Where I've gotten a few Pretenders lately, some of those you can just look at and then have the paint scratch. I've owned newer toys like that as well. If it happens on the factory stuff, it certainly doesn't bother me with the customs and kitbashes we all make :)

Great job on the kitbash. I hope you make his iconic sword and gun.

Makes me want a Classics Blitzwing now.

    Thank you, sir.

I have no plans to add a sword, the gun on his arm doubles as a hand gun.
I just forgot to take pics of it.

I am very impressed with this. Blitzwing is one of the hardest custom characters to do, being the the two molds are so hard to get to go together, but you nailed it. G1 feel with a new twist. Great job man, really great job

    Thanks.

If you mean clear coat, I nevr clear my customs. I rarely have rub issues.
It's just with certain molds, no matter how much prep I do. I still seem to end up with rub areas.
The seeker mold being the worst of them.
