just sharing pics before final smaller detailing and then onto priming and paint.
i may fill in the remaining spiderweb detailing in his legs and get rid of them,
and i'm still also debating on whether or not to give him his back pack/trigger handle like g1 had,if i do than i have to try to work out a hand pistol mode too 







*UPDATE* G1 galvie butchered to sacrifice his backpack/support,fused and screwed to fill a giant hole galvie used to have.

 

Oh yeah!!! He's going to be incredible Chans...will you sculpt out the helmet a bit too? The backpack sounds like a great idea BTW.

Cool! The alt mode is reminding me of one of the dotm drones

 

looks like you're off to a great start. The only thing that bugs me is the head, can't help seeing Rodimus with eyebrows until it gets some paint.

 

I'm sure this will look a great deal better once this is painted.

the head was already severly modified already.
you can barely tell now but it started life as a powerrangers zord bot head,even had a police cap with a badge on the very front of the crest.the new middle pointy crest is actually another bots toes,cut down triangular.the yellow chunks are clipped from a gundam's head.the original pr zoids head was actually stationary too,molded to a swiveling platform,not able to turn or look up or down.

thanks,and if you're wondering,the arms are heavily butchered from cybertron wingsaber,hands are from the same PR zord bot,and the actualy shoulder balljoints are from kreo jazz.

thanks,and hopefully it ends up decent,i'm still torn though on the color schem.
the g1 toy is predominantly grey with purple as secondary and red highlights,
and depending on the season,g1 toons showed him as almost a navy dark blue,yet comics like idw show him as mostly purple 
maybe a mix of all three?

I love it, but I wouldn't go with the backpack at all. He's very sleek in his own way... curvy, like Galv is supposed to be... but the backpack is blocky. ><

 

all of your work is full of win man! this is going to be one awesome galvatron. I've always felt he's a difficult character to capture, cant wait to see him painted.
