Heavily inspired (and helped) by many board members who have gone here before me, I've repainted an Animated Arcee and added a new head. Alt mode pictures to come, but I was too excited to wait for the paint to fully cure. My first time using a spray primer, and it didn't go on too evenly. Also I wish I had sanded down a few of the rub spots a bit more. We'll see how it holds up. Still, I'm pretty happy with the results for right now. Wish I could get a cleaner head though.

You did a really nice job with this! The pink sections look quite smooth.

Where did the head come from? It fits the mold very well.

Thanks, guys. I wish the white came out half as nice as the pink! Also, I'm pretty sure that if I move her hip thingys the posts are going to snap right off. Still, though she may not be as durable as I had hoped due to all the rub, she's a great shelf piece for now until I get the motivation to buy some white touchup paint, re-sand the joints, and seal her. Hey. Springer's not too picky.

The original head creator was a user named "uuser" but I bought it secondhand from someone on the boards. The only complaint is that it's cast in grey resin and has a lot of little details that don't get fully covered by primer or paint without looking a little sloppy. Also, the eyes have very small pupils, but I filled them in with clear resin and painted over with blue.

For as much as they love repaints passed off as G1, I'm shocked it hasn't happened yet.

Very Nice paint details. I agree this figure has too many rubs spots that can mess with structural integrity which is why I never did this kind of repaint. What pink did you use? Looks really nice

Good work on a tuff to work with figure, White is a tuff color to work with, in my experience I found it best to just put lots of thin coats on and let them dry and repeat.
