Classics 2.0/Universe Roadbuster (Finished 12-07-09) w/ Bonus Inspiration for this customs goes to Satomiblood and SMOG. Bot Mode: The bot mode was heavily modeled after the More Than Meets the Eye Guide Book IDW just came out with. I was going for big and gaudy for the main gun and the smaller gun doubles as the missile launcher and a sidearm. The gun rack becomes a back storage that both guns can be stored on. The hands came from TreadBolt too. I had to dremel the forearms a bit for them to fit and they are snug but movable. I really love this but I see some changes I am going to make really soon. And they are painting more of the vermin brown onto more hood surface area and drybrush the two metal ram bar like things either silver or more vermin brown. I think the small area of the painted hood is just to bleak and meh. The head was also from TreadBolt. I clipped the sideguns off and attached some parts and pieces to make it more look like Roadbuster. Alt Mode: Most of the extra parts came from a Universe TreadBolt both guns and the storage top/ Gun Rack. Even thou it's hard to see there is a antenna array on the driver's side windshield. I also sanded off the star. Enjoy,critique and comment. Ohhhh wait I forgot the bonus. Ever wanted to see what Roadbuster looked like under his helmet? Well here ya go.

very roadbustery (thats a word right?) i really like this look. hasbro did a decent job when they made RB out of CD Hot Shot but he really needed those signature BFGs and a good head. im loving what youve done to emulate that
Looks cool! With the huge guns in vehicle mode, does anyone else think he looks like that UK Autobot figure, Ironfist? The original G1 Roadbuster actually had surprisingly normal-sized guns, rather than the heavy duty style IDW has given him. But this definitely suits him. Good stuff, especially that Treadbolt booster. Nice idea. I forgot to mention... great trick with the hand transplant. Cap's hands can't grip anything! zmog

As soon as the weather permits it I will begin work on it. But as for pics nay as I have yet to get a camera . These were taken with my cell phone. Anyone wanna send me one I won't decline it . Thanks. I just wasn't feeling the botcon or the two pack one. But once I saw Satomiblood and SMOG with what they did I couldn't resist. HAHAHAHAHA he does look like him doesn't he. Well time to go find another Cap. And poor Treadbolt didn't even have a chance. I got him at a TRU in chicago discounted because he was already opened and returned. And basically tore him apart. I was just going to use the head and helmet then the guns,hands, and the booster pack. All that is left of TB is the legs a cracked open torso and arms. I'm surprised I am actualyy this far on it, I am known for my procrastinati.....Meh I will finish the sentence later............
Boy, this mold looks AWESOME with guns! Cap's mold is probably one of the BEST Custom-fodder molds on the market today along with Wolverine (Trailbreakers! and my own custom character ) and Breakaway (I hear he's not only awesome beyond reason, but he's also great for dye jobs) But back to your creation: The Captain Hummerica mold is perfect with all those Treadbolt parts! Especialy the head, as the all the heads on the Marvel X-Overs look like crap (BTW, do you still have the head for that mold? If so, could you take a picture of it for me? I plan to do a custom of this mold someday, but I'm usually forced to use the stock head and I've never seen the Cap. Head up close.)
This turned out FANTASTIC! I love the paint app. There's a really nice style to the way that he's painted. Giving him a removable helmet was very clever as well. I'm actually doing something similar with the Captain America mold myself. Seeing your bash solidifies for me that this was the right mold to go with for Roadbuster.
