I didn't have a Classic Inferno - their price is jacked up so ridiculously high it is insane to buy one new. However, I managed to so some simple mod with the Hot Spot from the Evac set (dirt cheap) plus a spare Combiner War Hot Spot's ladders and a 3-D printed head to create my own, staisfying Inferno - and here it is: Head shot (BHDA printed and painted silver) Bot mode with Hot Spot's ladders. Thanks to the many points of articulation on the ladder there are a lot of different poses you can do! Fire engine mode - similarly, many different ways to fold it. what I did is remove the ladder from the back of hot spot - it is held by an axle with 4.5mm diameter. It needed to be bored out to 5mm diameter in order to be put on the classic figure.
Awesome! The ladder looks a little off when it's raised up, but it works! I'm curious, will that head be lightpiped if you put it up on Shapeways? Psst, thanks for letting me know how to get that mold for anything less than a leg. : D
I really like it! He can use the ladder as a battering ram if he wants to. Strange how the colours of this release give Inferno a more comic colour vibe, like not resembling any particular comic depiction of him but it kind of looks like the colours they would use.
I'm thinking this would do well to make a good Artfire so that there is a bit of difference in the molds.
