Classic G1 Dinobot FINISHED UPDATED!! Decided to post a few WIP pics of my Classic G1 Dinobots that I am in the process of making. The base figures are G1 Dinobots, with parts from some KO seekers, Generations Red Alert and a few others. So far Grimlock, Sludge and Slag all have new articulated legs and arms and can all still transform. Currently waiting on a Classics Grimlock head to replace the G1 head and all still need to be painted. Currently working on Snarl and waiting to receive Swoop in the mail to start on him too. Once all are done with custom paint each one and post up final pics. ENJOY!! UPDATED 10/4/2011 Okay got Swoop and Snarl done. Love the way Swoop came out and got his head on a ball joint which was very tricky! Thanks for the tutorial FrenzyRumble! Snarl's base figure wasn't the best (very beat up) but satisfied on how he came out. May tackle him again down the road. Finally got my classics Grimlock head on my G1!! What a difference! UPDATED 10/11/2011 So I finished painting and putting back together Grimlock & Swoop. Decided to stay as close as possible to the G1 cartoon color scheme. Instead of yellow though I went with Tamiya Gold. UPDATE 10/15/2011 Just finished Slag. Enjoy! UPDATED!! 9/23/2012 SET COMPLETED!! Finished Sludge and Snarl!!
Looking awesome. I'm really digging sludge. I'm not sure if you've modded his head or not, but I think frenzyrumble has an easy tutorial, allowing head movement.
Thanks, his head does have the FrenzyRumble treatment! I spent a lot of time studying FrenzyRumble's website and all the pics he post up on Flickr and tutorials from all the Radicons to get as many ideas as possible. I got a full plate too, I am also finishing up the Ark Diorama and have a Classics Roadbuster and Classics Omega Supreme I got waiting to do for my CHUG collection.
Nice work, man! Always great to see more Dinobots in the mix and those Seeker parts come in handy, don't they? lol Can't wait to see more, bro.
Really great work. The G1 toys have so much to offer by way of sculpting and detail that the articulation helps to bring across. These already look awesome, with paint they'll be really something!
