Thanks trebleshot! I wasn't aware of that. Hopefully is not so hard for someone with poor craftmanship skills like me. :p

Yikes! I paid less for last year's Botcon exclusives. That price is indeed crazy for custom parts.

I'm baffled at that price. Seriously.

Maybe, people are mistaking it for more than 1 kit? I doubt it, but $355 can get you a lot of things...

Yeah, That kit was pushing it at $30. That was a reasonable price, considering the effort that went into it. I think $40 would have been the high end, and $50 would be the ABSOLUTE max I'd be willing to pay if I wasn't already aware of (and hadn't already done!) the jetski-as-accurate-head mod. Close to $400? IN. SANE.

This is a CRAZY auction...I checked out the history of it and it started at .99 and as of Feb. 03/08 in the AM it is now sitting at a "mere" $355.00US! I think I will just do the "Jetski mod"!

Listing cancelled by ebay.....................my only guess is they were jacking this up themselves to inflate the price for when they are released in mass numbers

Ya, there was some fishy names on the bidding list. There was a bidding war going on between a**a and e**e. Too similar, too strange and those 2 IDs were bidding on alot of the sellers other auctions aswell.

Yeah, what the freak happened to all their items that they were selling? There is only one on the list now.

    Edit: Make that none.

That is eBay's anonymous bidder policy taking effect. After a certain dollar amount ($100?) regular names are hidden by what you saw there. Once the auction ends, the high bidder's name is revealed but all the others would stay hidden like that.

Too bad the kits were cancelled. I hope the seller relists them without being stupid next time.

Yeah, I'm thinking the "artificial inflation" theory is starting to have more merit as the day goes on, even considering standard eBay procedures (i.e. anonymous bidding).

Glad I could help, and good luck.
