    Not sure what purpose windshields (and "driver/pilot" cabins/cockpits in general) serve in pre-Earth Transformer designs to begin with.

    I dunno, just comparing the art to the product is all. The art looks better with the larger windshield IMHO.

    Dreamwave 'tried' to explain it. their Micromasters Mini-Series at least attempted to say "it's evolution, some cosmic connection to other lifeforms."

    Am I the only one who thinks it’s strange that we get so many versions of this design, but we still haven’t gotten a single version of the stormbringer design other than Iron Factory?

    What I don't get is that the arms always end up in an angle in alt mode and not like in the comics straight

    I kind of like it. But at first glance I thought he was Spark Toy ST-01 Alpha Pack figure.

    I thought so too, but I looked up pics of Spark Toy's and they're different in details.

    Neat, the head sculpt reminds me of Optimus Primal a bit and the trailer looks like IDW2005 Thunderclash\'s trailer.

    They used to be slaves or mech suits. Basically they were piloted by smaller creatures. And they claimed rights so long ago they just accepted that they had holes inside them.
