So Captain America basically ... loses his sense. Completely.

No dumb ass, you're not just "fighting". You're fighting to keep good superheroes from being locked up in the Negative Zone. FOREVER. For no good reason.

Crap ending to a weak concept. Makes me wish that Galactus had thrown his little shit fit at the end of Annihilation right next to Earth.

I fail to understand why people didn't like the ending. I thought it was great. I knew Cap was going to be arrested from the very beginning. It's not like anyone could have expected him to just win a fight and that be the end of it.

It wasn't the concept, it was it's execution that was bad. It made no sense given all the crap that's happened so far in the main book, and the tie-ins.

Yeah, to be honest. From the very first issue I never, ever thought the Civil War would end with one side actually beating the other side up. It was Marvel's constant hype that one team will lose, one team will be defeated, there will be a brawl with a clear winner and even the way the comic was written up until the last few pages was "we're winning Cap, keep hitting them". Then, nothing? I hope Civil War Frontline 11 sheds some light on to what Tony's big secret is.

I loved every panel of Civil War until the end of 7. I want to see it redeemed; somehow.

I was just thinking, Steven Colbert had Joe Quesada on right after Civil War started to talk about it so I wonder if Colbert will comment on its ending.

Agreed. I was pretty much fine with the ending till I read about the "alternate ending" in that blog Vangelus posted. That would have ruled.

I didn't like the ending until me and my fellow dorks started speculating about the issue.

I think the whole thing was setup to make Cap quit. Tony knew what was going to happen from the beginning.

I have a hard time believing that Tony wouldn't have prepared for someone like Vision showing up and that the men who dragged Cap off of Tony weren't shield agents.

BTW: Does anyone know when or who put Vison back together? I missed that.

You're right of course, but my point is that the ending could have been better to me. I was disappointed.

just managed to bag a copy.

i dont think the ending is as jarring as was made out in comparison to drafts mentioned earlier.

also, ditto on the itd be cool if they got frank to step up to the plate as cap, even for 6-ish story arc, thatd be cool. thats what it looks like anyway from seeing the scene AFTER knowing abt caps shooting.
