So this has been bugging me the last couple days and I'm letting it out now before I go nuts. I'm going to provide a proposed layout for a Transformers Cinematic Universe because ever since Avengers companies have been chasing Marvel's tail to figure out how to reap that level of success. I'm only using Bumblebee as a set up/starter film and ignoring every other movie made. Good? Good.

I'm going to be listing who is the focus of the film and a small synopsis

    Arc One Films

Optimus Prime - After ensuring his fellow Autobots escape Optimus is captured by Shockwave then rescued by Elita One. Both sneak their way into Shockwave's tower with some assistance from the unexpected appearances of Alpha Trion during their journey. During their venture the film reflects on the changes the war wrought to the planet, themselves, and their lost friend Shockwave. Entering the tower the pair face Shockwave but Elita forces Optimus into a pod while she fends off the cyclops scientist alone.

Starscream - Starscream arrives on Earth and intends to use the world as a testing ground to his Energon formula. He is surprised to see the Autobots, especially Optimus Prime, on this lowly world but continues his plans. Using his new fuel Starscream becomes a one-man army and mops the floor with the Autobots. Jetfire, who has been following Starscream on his scientific venture, stands up to his friend in a duel (using an anti-formula to Starscream's super-energon) that has him defect to the Autobots.

Windblade and Chromia - On a remote world overgrown with organic matter (jungles) a crew of explorers from Caminus locate the slumbering and wounded form of a titan, Metroplex, and only two citizens in stasis, Scamper and Sixgun. Windblade tries conversing with the titan who informs her of the war as he watched from beyond Cybertron (he left before it broke out but has received transmissions). His citizens went to war with themselves. Windblade tries to convince her team to use Metroplex's space bridge to help Cybertron but is denied her pursuit. She sneaks out, Chromia follows and duels her friend, and both end up warped to Earth. Both are inducted into the Autobot ranks.

Prowl and Nightbeat - The pair overhear military reports of advance weapons being used by a terrorist organization. Investigating the weapons reveals Cybertronian technology integration. As the investigate further they run into the special task force responsible for apprehending the terrorists: the original GI Joe team. They track down the villains to the remains of a Decepticon ship and meet the terrorist leader, Cobra Commander, and his Decepticon partner, Scorponok. By film's end Hardhead is established as the Autobot liaison to the Joes in future anti-Decepticon operations.

Starscream II - Starscream, upset at Jetfire's betrayal and destruction of his super energon, summons reinforcements to put an end to the Autobots, the Combaticons. The team arrives and get to work taking several Autobots prisoners before Starscream contacts Jetfire to offer terms of surrender. GI Joe and Hardhead sneak in to free the Autobots while outside the Combaticons turn of Starscream for their new employer, Scorponok. Starscream retreats while the Autobots fend off Scorponok and his new mercenaries.

Soundwave - Starscream arrives to his ship to find Soundwave having taken command and his crew turned against the seeker. Soundwave has also come to Earth in pursuit of finding their leader, Megatron, after retracing several ventures the warlord took before disappearing. He uses espionage tactics to infiltrate military bases to locate Megatron's whereabouts.

Headmasters - To combat the threat of Transformers the military uses the remains of several Transformers to create a new type of soldier: the Headmasters. They train three volunteers creating Minerva, Siren, and Highbrow. Cobra learns of this technology and creates their own Headmasters, with the aid of Scorponok, and create an army of drones. The two groups of Headmasters face against each other destroying Cobra's "Cobramasters" in the process.

Final Autobot Lineup: Optimus, Bumblebee, Prowl, Nightbeat, Ratchet, Hardhead, Windblade, Chromia, Springer, Blaster

Endgame Megatron - Soundwave is prepared to put his plan into action and sets about freeing Megatron. Megatron's first order is to decimate the largest city in the US. This catches Optimus attention and orders a charge to Megatron's domain. GI Joe/Hardhead join in the fray to help and Scorponok seizes an opportunity to remove two thorns in his side. Scorponok ends up decapitated by Megatron and his remains taken back to Cobra Commander. The Combaticons merge into Ruination but are stopped by Jetfire's quick thinking. Megatron is apprehended and the Autobots stand victorious.

Meanwhile, on a shadowed world, a lone figure looks out into the galaxy and smiles with anticipation to the destruction he intends to bring. For he is Galvatron.

    Later Movies (No particular order)

Decepticon Justice Division - Shockwave sends a group of specialists to hunt down the renegade Overlord. The group picks up the belittled Nickel on their journey. After tracking Overlord down the group is slaughtered by Galvatron's newest lieutenant, Shockwave (Nickel survives, dunno about anyone else).

Wreckers - The Wreckers recruit Springer into their ranks and he rises to the challenge. He helps in the attack of Overlord's domain, Paradron, and destroys the planet but the super-soldier survives. Impactor gives his life to stop Overlord.

Hot Rod - Hot Rod's ship crashes on a Quintesson world and he faces the dangers while trying to save his fellow crewmates, some of whom he is forced to kill or leave behind for survival. Hijacking the alien ship and leaving with a few refugees and his mentor Kup.

Scavengers - No leadership. No mission. No help. A band of misfit Decepticons survive the aftermath of a battle as the only survivors. They only have one goal, get the hell off this dustball. Now if they could stop arguing with each other that world be a fine start. Also disarming their comrade's internal proton bomb would help.

Torchbearers - The Torchbearers prepare to take Windblade into custody for desertion. Optimus demands to go with her to speak on Windblade's behalf. On Caminus Optimus is put through the trials, with Pyra Magna as his witness, and obtains the Matrix of Leadership. The Torchbearers swear to Prime's aid but Pyra questions the results of the trials. She challenges Optimus to a duel for the Matrix and learns why he was chosen.

    Final Act

    One Shall Fall
Galvatron, having amassed his own army from the Decepticons (who deserted Megatron), prepares to lay siege to the entire universe. They lay siege to Cybertron defended by the rallied Autobots and Megatron. Their defenses fail as Optimus squares off against Galvatron only to die in the fight. The Autobots retreat as Cybertron is destroyed.

    One Shall Rise
Licking their wounds the Autobots prepare Earth for the coming onslaught. They send search parties to find aid across the cosmos before Galvatron begins his attack. The Autobot forces are cut down as Hot Rod and Megatron are beaten to a pulp before Rodimus hears the voice of Optimus declaring him ready to become the next Prime. Hot Rod becomes Rodimus Prime as Autobot reinforcements arrive. The Autobots stand victorious as Rodimus kills Galvatron. Megatron declares a peace with the Autobots and leaves the new Prime to settle on Earth.

If you cant tell by now I got tired half way through this. I may come back and update it but for now I'm done.

Good storylines. I admit it's risky dabbling characters most film audiences aren't entirely familiar. But then again, many great films out there were big risks.

And this is just Transformers alone. How would other brands and properties play into this?

I think it takes a good blend of the familiar with the unexpected and fill in the gaps.

GI Joe would be if there's any Earth-based threat and Hardhead would be their Autobot liaison. Outside that we wouldn't see much of them. There's ROM the Space Knight and Dire Wraiths. Outside those two I don't really see any other franchises blending in well. I only pick those two as they can work WITH the Transformers as side stories.

Not the whole list but what i could make on the fly

    Arc Two Films

Megatron - Now captive at the Autobot's base Megatron is interrogated by Optimus. The Autobot commander wants to know only one thing: why? Megatron tells his origins, from working on alien worlds as a miner to his return to Cybertron and left with only being a gladiator as his occupation. He risks death and victory for the amusement of others, especially those in the higher classes. He is met by one, Orion Pax, and the two begin to talk of improving the systems in place. Megatron is also met by another, Soundwave, an envoy to a senator. Soundwave provides the tools Megatron needs to tear down the system he despises and with some aid from other gladiators, he takes his chance. The aftermath is displayed across Cybertron with messages of "Rise", "Do not trust Deceivers", and more sparking controversy. Orion is unsure of these acts and hopes his idol had nothing to do with them. Megatron the corners two senators, including the one who sent Soundwave, into a gladiator pit and executes them. Orion is left unaware of his mentor's actions as Megatron begins plotting his own revolution.

Decepticon Justice Division - With Megatron captive on Earth Decepticon Overlord declares himself the new leader much to the ire of Shockwave. To remove this loose end he summons several officers to be reformatted and hunt down the renegade warlord. The group trace Overlord's position and find it on Monacus, a hive of scum and lawlessness, and run into a Cybertronian named Nickel. She's been stuck waitresses organics to pay off her tab and fix her ship only for the latter to be sold for scrap without consent. A brawl breaks out as Tarn stands up for the Cybertronian and leaves the establishment in ruin. Tarn then has a "meeting" with the lord of Monacus to learn Overlord's location. His team are guided to a Cybertronian mining world and they fight the renegade Decepticon there. Overlord escapes but the DJD will continue their hunt.

Shockwave - While the DJD handle Overlord Shockwave departs for Earth. He includes Sixshot and the Constructicons into his crew and establishes a base of operations, including a space bridge, on Earth's moon. Shockwave's team then acquire stealth (vehicle) modes, including a stealth bomber appearance for himself. He probes the Autobot forces to find weaknesses before striking. Unleashing Devastator upon the Autobot base Shockwave makes his way inside to Megatron and prepares to execute his former master on grounds that himself is a better leader. Megatron appeals to Shockwave's sense of logic, that it would be better to combine their forces, and the scientist yields. He warps all Decepticons back to their base where Megatron proceeds to attack Shockwave and assert his authority as leader once more. Now the Decepticons have one goal, finish the space bridge and summon an army to destroy the Autobots.

    1) No Unicron. He's a good apocalypse but not an interesting villain. That's why Galvatron is the final villain. Take the insanity of his Marvel portrayal and origins IDW and you got a decent villain.
    2) Sadly no. I would explore some elements of the past but only if its relevant to the characters.
    3) Again, sadly no. Nothing against Beast Wars but the story is cluttered enough. If I do Beast Wars it would be a follow up saga of its own.

For Unicron? Oh yeah, he and Primus are the basis for one of Cybertron's religions.
For Beast Wars? Not sure how that would work.

what would be the transformers origins be in this story?

also heres how i would do a Beast Wars Movie.

    The Beast Wars.

in the early 90's, sector 7 scientists built a FTL drive from cybertronian tech that accidentally brings a Predacon to Earth, and they end up on the Jungle Planet Eukaris when they try to send it back. there they discover 2 warring factions of robots that take the form of animals, The Maximals and The Predacons descendants of shipwrecked Autobots and Decepticons. Both Maximal and Predacon take the form of alien animals that have similarities to certain Earth animals, just to make them more distinct.

the tone of the film will be reminiscent of Jurassic Park, Kong Skull Island and a few Vietnam war films .

Honestly I wouldn't really make their origins a plot point. I would make their unique existence, a mechanical species in a prominently organic universe, somewhat relevant. The reason I choose not to dive into the origins is I don't see explaining it as any relevance to the story I want to tell. It's just something you would have to just accept and fill in the gap yourself.

As for your BW pitch I see what you're going for but it doesn't quite have the same goal as myself. I wanted to focus on the Transformers as characters the same way Marvel did with its cast. I don't mean to be offensive but as I read your pitch it sounds more like a Bay film with the focus on humans and alien plot McGuffins than a film with the Transformers as the focus. I could replace the Maxinals with Zoids or some other mechanical beasts and it would have the same effect. There's also a supposed hint at time travel which is a big no-no for me. I won't say it was intentional but its what I drew conclusion to. Your heart's in the right place but maybe rethink your approach.

If I was to do a BW film I would make specific characters the focus and play up the idea of history repeating itself with their war compared to the Autobot/Decepticon war. Or perhaps the Maximals and Predacons are renegades of their own faction and explain why they broke off.

actually that was not my intention. Eukaris is not future Earth. as i said the animals look like earth animal but different for example, this would be Optimus Primal and Megatron's beast modes. [IMG][IMG]

Those are pretty good ideas but what I meant was this quote "The Maximals and The Predacons descendants of shipwrecked Autobots and Decepticons" which leads me to the idea of being set in the future. If you had said off-shoot then it would clear up the confusion.
