When Geeks are moved to such strong opinions, the franchise is broken: TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is cinematic piss... - Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.
I think only Bay could turn the geek masses against a franchise like he did with this one. Outside of George Lucas maybe.
Ain't it Cool News??? Really? This is the review we're gonna go by...? They make Kotaku look like the goddamn Wall Street Journal.
Listen... we get it already. Reviewers have a varying point on the movie. This is over the 50th thread now just posting a review or turning it into a situation where people will moan and complain about the review - just add this to the other review threads, it should not get its own thread.
Oh, I think whoever it was that did that god awful Green Hornet film probably made it a social taboo to admit liking the character. Really, Green Hornet was bad. Like, worse than Speed Racer bad.
aaand the bashing continues. Damn people were ITCHING to bash Bay last year, that they're giving it HELL and beyond
Rotten Tomatoes, critics, this geeky crap and everyone's views should be IGNORED. Go and see the film. Take note of the BEST things Take note WORST things Write or give your opinions with BOTH, BEST AND WORST additions. As some critics seem to be writing the WORST things only
Funny thing to me about a review like this is I can seriously feel the writer trying to coming up with as many annalogies and funny quips than rather paying any god damn attention to the movie or having any knowledge of the brand, series or toys.
But that's the majority of the people who go to see the film. Not people who actually know all that shit like us, as the movie needs to be accessible to everybody. Trying to make a movie that only appeals to the fans? I think that's called "Wolverine: Origins". And they still fucked up Deadpool.
Fu*k Harry Knowles and his shi*ty beard. That is a guy that seems to sound like he has more of an agenda and it wasn't to "review" AOE. My apologies to and aicn allegents but his site has been all that relevant in a really long time.
It has. It felt like I was reading an essay written by Charlie, from It's Always Sunny. BEST REVIEW EVER. 10/10. WOULD READ AGAIN.
Harry Knowles may be the geek majority physically, but he's not the geek majority vocally. In fact, the general responses seems to show that the "geek masses" are actually far more on Bay's side this time around, verses the group of critics. And apparently, it "breaks the franchise." God forbid we all just go see the movies ourselves before pretending to know everything about it. (or if you have no plans to see it, maybe don't talk like you plan to?)
and that guy likes EVERYTHING. so i was a bit taken back. usually I don't like his reviews because he is too kind, loves the experience of going to movies so much it clouds his judgement. at least thats what I thought until now.
Not quite everything. He fell asleep during Inception, and went on a kind of long rant with The Dark Knight Rises.
