This was a commission piece from a dear friend of mine that wanted me to make it based on a conversation we had. Icestorm was made from a Generations Thundercracker. The ice on his wings was made with hot glue to look like water freezing slowly over time. The ice on his missiles was also made with hot glue but shaped to look like they where flash frozen is they have angular shaping to them. The iceblade was made with plastic tubing for the handle with a piece of plastic rod for the center with hot glue for the blade also painted and made to look like it was formed semi fast. He was undercoated with Krylon royal blue with a Testers model master french blue mixed with varying degrees of white mixed in over time for various levels of highlights. The white for the feet, nosecone, lower arms, etc was both GW skull white and Testors model Masters white back and forth to get an even icy white look. There was some inking done as well as white highlight over the entire toy to make him look cold and frozen. I took pics in different lighting to show the highlights.

    Bio:

In the war to defeat the Autobots Shockwave has done a lot of experiments from cloning Starscream to even experimenting even on the troops under his command. The renamed Icestorm never expected that we would survive the experiment that created him, but he is glad he did. Icestorm is a sub zero temperature fighter who has the power to freeze any liquid. He used the extra energon reserves he has to flash freeze energon on his missile tips. Upon impact the energon work like shrapnel cutting throw thick armor then causes a secondary explosion when the energon detonates from the heat for the missile blast. He also wields an energon laced Ice blade with a micro edge able to sever limbs. He is perfect for cold climate to deep space warfare. His weakness is heat in any form. His systems easily overheat. For this he cannot be too close to fire, high temperatures or fly near any stars. If he stays in these conditions for too long his systems start shutting down.

Other info: Icestorm usually keeps his Missile launchers on his wings. he is able to fold down his wings to launch the missiles. This allows him to have free range of movement in his arms to wield his Iceblade.

    Enjoy and comments are welcome.

You should make a firestorm or something like it to rival him. This is a GREAT Custom!

Nice work. The hot glue being used to sculpt ice patterns works quite well.

Icestorm is essentially a fan-made name that roams the fanbase for an un-named seeker.

I might. A Firestorm sounds like a wicked idea. Glad you like the custom.

Thanks plowking. :D  I wanted to give the client a little something extra.

Thank you Todd. The ice effects on the wings are really not that hard to do. Just a low heat glue gun and patience. I started on the edges and slowly thinly worked up the row and back down the row on the wing and moved along the the next row. that gave it a nice curved and even bubble/rounded end along the columns of ice. For the iceblade I worked it with a little at a time till i got it shaped the way i wanted it. For the missile tips I put Vaseline on the missile time and coated it with a big bubble of hot glue. when it was drip thxs to the Vaseline it popped right off and i cut it to shape with a razor blade.

    thank you.

Thxs Sis. I am really glad you like it.

so it is a little shabby?? ;)  thxs I was very happy how it came out.

Thank you. Glad it didn't leave you cold. Sorry bad pun I know. See above on how i did it if you curious. Also if anyone is interested i could try to do a tutorial.

thank you. see above on how I did it.

Well if i get commissioned to do one i will. ;)

    Thank you Cass. :D
