that is truly beautiful
Yea, the detailed hands, better head, paint apps, size, light piping, forearm details, additional swivels, stability, posability, speaker accessories, otherwise make it a push. Those reprolabels are really the deal sealer.
Quake has new guns
You just convinced me to get Devastator.
If possible, I'd go UW over CW. There's a slight retooling between them that results in the UW bots having better elbows individually.
But if that's not an issue I'd go with whatever is cheapest, lol.

I'm gonna be honest, you're really reaching to make that sound like a long list. "Forearm details" is what seals it for you? And it what universe are you a part of where POTP Jazz isn't more stable than RTS. That's objectively false. His chest literally doesn't have a place to lock on. Besides, I could make the same argument for POTP Jazz.
More accurate size, cleaner bot mode, lack of door wings, more unique and less bayverse car mode, better transformation, chest locks in, feet don't flop around, no issues standing, equally good paint apps, hell, the only joint RTS really has on the POTP is the wrist swivel, and I don't think that counteracts how unstable that bot is.
Now of course a lot of my list was subjective, but I think that most of the reasons people would prefer RTS are subjective. Things like the floppy chest and feet however, are not.
"One shall stand..."
Yes, forearm detail. But I get that you would rather have a single piece that is shell, hand, door so you don't lose them when you keep popping it off. Stability as in the bricks for feet that teeter-totter. Haha no issues standing, solid standard yes, POTP stands straight, that's about it. Why don't you go grab both and look at them both in hand, guessing you can't right now because there isn't one in your collection, articulation is 10x better. Go ahead and make a poll, RTS will be subjectively better all around. Sounds about the same as the person who was justifying every shoehorned CW 1984 figure as better because he wasn't collecting when other versions came out.
My Decepticon headmasters:
I wouldn't be able to speak on the solidity of RTS Jazz if I'd never had it. I have had it, and I still have the Botcon Kick-off they made from it. It's not a terrible figure by any means, but I feel like POTP fixed a lot of its issues. The articulation is literally the exact same except for the wrist swivel, (and on POTP the hands are a different piece, so you're objectively wrong to say they're part of the forearm.) I don't really know what you mean by teeter-totter, because mine doesn't, but even if it did I'd rather have a Jazz that teeter-totters than one that falls flat on his face when I try to stand him up because his own feet aren't tight enough to support his weight. And for what it's worth, the only 1984 bot I thought was an improvement in CW was Ironhide. Most of the CHUG figures from Universe were better, but Jazz is a notable exception.
As for whether or not people like one better subjectively... that's... subjective? Opinion? Which is fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but so am I, and you don't seem to be able to acknowledge that.
If you go for one, go for the undersized KO version. I think it scales better with the Combiner wars combiners and is of pretty good quality.
I saw that one but Im not getting it as I value their robot modes too much and they're never really be Devastator in my display as such.
I only have United Jazz and not RTS, but there's nothing wrong with the feet, overall strong joints and best Jazz ever.
Well then I'm glad there are some out there that don't suffer from that issue, and I genuinely hope your feet don't deteriorate in sturdiness over time like mine did.
Sixshot works really well as a turret for deluxes!
those guns are nice, where are they from?
"What are you doing, you idiot! We gotta get outta here before they get back and he wakes up!"
"SCRAP!!! Too late! We're screwed!"
