Who is everyone's pick for their CHUG Prowl? I thought I had it figured out a few months ago. After I saw Siege Prowl, I was turned off by his plain, oddly shaped car mode so I picked up a cheap Universe Prowl off of Craigslist with the intent of buying some Shapeways parts and doing some custom work. Fast forward to today, I haven't gotten around to upgrading Universe Prowl, the reprolabels set for Siege Prowl makes the figure look amazing, and I find myself at a crossroads.

Siege, but only after I painted and reprolabled him up.

For me, it's Combiner Wars Prowl. Sure he's a repaint, but he's full of character that both cements him as Prowl while adding new touches to the core design. While I do sometimes miss the door wings, the added bulk gives him a really cool "special forces" vibe, especially in tandem with his (awesome) triple shotgun. These, combined with an addictive transformation and an absolutely immaculate headsculpt, make him my default Prowl.

Sorry I didn't mean to discount CW Prowl. I definitely get a special forces vibe from him and can see the attraction. I just have CW Streetwise and yeah, those door wings...

I tracked down your custom thread. Looks great! If I switch to Siege Prowl, I think that's definitely the route I'll go. A good portion of the reprolabels and some paint on the arms and thighs.

There are just a few things that give me pause. I think I still give the edge to Universe Prowl in car mode. And then there's the matter of scale. Universe Prowl just fits in a little better height wise. But reprolabeled Siege Prowl just looks so damn good. Decisions, decisions.

I've been pruning my collection of 'doubles' and thought I'd take a few snaps to remember the soon to be departed before they go.
And I'm glad I did Windblade when I did (I kept the T:30 one), because she sold last night and has been sent out this morning.

    Thank you.

I agree in overall scale, Universe Prowl fits better, but proportion-wise he's very stretched out and strange looking, not to mention that weirdly elevated head of his and the fact his car-door paint is likely to fail on you (as mine grossly has). You WANT him to be good, but he's really strange to look at when you take all of him in.

It's a shame you get rid of her. TR Windblade is probably one of the most solid figures to come out of the line. I'm looking at de-Headmastering mine though.

"So, Brawn, let me get this straight - you bots dug me out of the ice to be your air taxi?"

"Well, yeah. It's not like Powerglide or Cosmos could have done it. Would ya rather we'd left you buried?"

I do wish I had gotten CW version. I'll admit I was interested in Siebe Prowl, like his neck better than "classics" one , the only thing that turned me off from Siege was the hollow back of the shins. I'm going to get the Bluestreak, maybe that'll change my mind.

Do wish Siege's door wings were angled up a bit more.

How dare Skywarp & Thundercracker not show themselves when I call for a Seeker assembly, I'll have their heads for this
    IMG_0686.JPG

Seekers! Transform and take to the sky, death to the Autobots and to Megatron!
    IMG_0687.JPG

What the hell Starscream you call for all Seekers and you didn't bother to call for us?
I'm sorry Dirge but come back when you've reached my height and when Ramjet stops living in the 90s
    IMG_0688.JPG

Yeah now that we've got five Seekers and soon seven when Thundercracker & Skywarp come out I hope we eventually get Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, Bitstream, Hotlink, Sunstorm, & Nacelle in either the second or third part of the trilogy. Especially since if you can't tell I don't have a Thrust, G1 Ramjet, or Nacelle. Hell I'd take them as Generations Selects just give me my Seekers and hell do a Slipstream, G2 Starscream, Action Master Thundercracker, & Ghost Starscream too!

And here have a blooper, this happens every time I try to take a photo

There seems to be a fix for it all and some grest looking customs of the Universe / Classics. Gap filler on the back, parts for the neck, tutorials on how to reduce how much the shoulders stick out. Oh, and replacement head which I can't seem to find / settle on. It all just seems like a lot to do (and buy) if Siege Prowl, a reprolabel set, and something plugged into his feet might be the superior option. Whichever way I go, thanks for the help.

Yeah if there was a Shapeways part or add on kit that added some height while covering up even a portion of Siege Prowl's calves I think I would be all in on the Siege version.
