Finally finished my Thunderclash combiner, featuring:

- Chromia combiner upgrade kit
- PC-08W Battle Core OP upgrade kit
- Shapeways Cannon Master Leader Head
- TCW-01B Baldigus hands/feet
- Toyhax Thunderclash labels















This is my "leftovers" combiner, consisting of:

Thunderclash
Metalhawk/Vector Prime
Chromia
Alpha Bravo
Ricochet (Stepper)
Ptero

This was my first time painting my own pieces from Shapeways. Although I'm not a fan of the bumpiness of the 3D-printed plastic, I like this head better than having yet another Optimus combiner head.

As you can see, there is a lot of differentiation between the two Battle Core Primes with different upgrade kits/labels, which is what I was going for.

Shouldn't this be in Customs?

 

It could apply to multiple categories: Combiner Wars, POTP, 3rd Party, Reprolabels, custom, etc., so I created this thread to focus on the 3rd Party accessory that is the Chromia combiner upgrade kit.

I found the combiner pieces for Chromia and Nightbird on Ebay a few years ago. I don't see it on Ebay now, but I did a Google search and found who I bought them from:

I thought they worked great! Nightbird definitely brought my Nova Maximus combiner alive, and Chromia was a perfect arm for my Thunderclash combiner.

I needed those to complete combiners where Hasbro gave us extra limbs.

Nova Maximus consists of Nova Prime (Battle Core Optimus with SND's Nova Prime kit) Nightbird, Grindcore (Ruination Brawl), Offroad, Soundblaster, Bombshell, Brunt, Jhiaxus, and Flameout (Toyhax labels Jazz).



My Thunder Maximus combiner consists of Thunderclash (Battle Core Prime with Toyhax labels), Alpha Bravo, Chromia, Ptero (Red Swoop), and Ricochet.

 

Nice. Battle Core Optimus has to be one of my favorite figures of the line. Just so many upgrades and toxhax label variation that can be done. I have the SND kit as well but what is the hands and feet you're using? It looks great. I'm definitely inspired by the setups you have.

 

The hands and feet come from the PC-08W combiner upgrade kit for the white Optimus Maximus:
