Works like a Sharpie. Super resistant. Don't have to undercoat glossy black like with Alklad. I absolutely love these pens. Amazon.com has them. Anyone else using them?
comes in 1mm, 2mm, 4mm, and refill ink. Wheelie's gun and Perceptor's dials were already chromed before pens.
Yup! I had my Classic Prime chromed up a little using that marker. But be aware, it takes a lot of drying time; a week to two weeks. You can't touch the chrome too much if your hands are oily or sweaty as the paint will wear off a bit, even if you let it dry for so long.
Yes. Using it for the rims on my transformers cars... Optimus, Motormaster, etc. Helped add more chrome to the chest and details on my TR powermaster OP using the brush and marker technique. added some shine to the paws, nails on my Wolfwire, too.
Yeah they're good. See my thread for info on protecting your chrome finish. Future will dull the chrome a bit. Customs: - MOLOTOW LIQUID CHROME MARKERS TRIAL
Future..., tried it and still did not show much luster like it used to be, kinda looked like a tin foil (see first image. The windshield trim was the treated area, versus the hood which was the untreated area). I tried Tamiya clear coat, still did the same, even worst (see second image right on the door panel). I'll try Future again, but this time with very very thin layer.
Hey There Lord Dcast...they are available here in Australia, Ive looked into getting some but never got around to it, but here a link... Molotow Paint Australia | Markers & Inks And heres a link to some stockists Molotow Paint Australia | Stockists
Could you post links for Amazon, please? I remember, "The Collector", a British lad who reviews KO TFs, showed them on a YouTube review of Wei Jiang OSKO Highbrow.
You had me at CHROME. Now it's time to whip out ye olde Visa card and get into hot water with Da Boss Lady... thanks for the info, Amazon, here I come!
You have to be careful, though. The average clear coat will turn the chrome silver. The above linked thread goes through many clear coats. Most effect the chrome in some way, such as dulling or adding a "milky" layer. Only one found that leaves the chrome totally intact is Alclad's "Klear Kote."
This shit is gonna work wonders on my deluxe Silver Knight Optimus, thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Anybody who chromes ROTF Chromia for the sake of calling her Chrome-ia will receive likes from me for one entire week. Yes, the entire figure
