    Lo all

Ok, so currently having a collection display reshuffle and have come across a few pieces that could really do with spucing up, namely my cassette-bots chromed weapons. They're showing really worn and looking proper manky but I've no idea how to go about fixing them so I'm turning to you for any advice.

Have searched Chrome and read through the majority of those threads that came back but really I'm clueless, as have never really considered modding and wouldn't know where to begin. I've touched up a few silver parts on bots (the face of G1 Gears for example) with a silver Shapie pen, and that worked brilliantly, but for the weaps I'm not sure its the way to go.

I'm not so worried about it being mirror-chrome, as that seems next to impossible, but something nice-silvery would be good? I'm in the UK so not sure I can easily get my hands on stuff I've mostly read about.

Any suggestions on products, methods, or general encouragement would be appreciated! I'm unlikely to be getting into anything that will require airbrushing as I don't own such equipment.

Oh and as an afterthought - using this Sharpie on a weapon as a trial it remains tacky - this is the 'curing' I've read about? Does anyone know if this stuff will stick nicely once its set, does it need covering, or how should it be removed if it all goes super-wrong in the next few days?

    Thanks for reading!

After a quick whizz around on the t'internet I've not managed to track down much in the way of UK Krylon silver spray suppliers but the 'leafing' pens seem to be fairly abundant. Would it be possible to use these? And how would I go about protecting them after I've finished colouring them in like a 7-year old?
