Honestly, I don't want anything for myself. I just want my wife and daughter to have a good day. If there's something I want for myself, I typically buy it.
I am in the same boat. I love giving presents to my family. The only thing I miss is giving them to little kids. My niece and nephew are all grown up. I hope they can both find special people soon and have kids, so I can give little kids presents again.
This year, I'm excited to be buying Christmas gifts for my nephew because he's spending for first Christmas together.
The ability to actually shop for my wife for Christmas. She sabotages it EVERY FREAKING YEAR and then gets upset when I have hardly anything bought. I'm not sure it's dawned on her that when she controls the finances, she sort of keeps me on the short end of the stick unless I'm expressly given funds to shop with.
Dropped off a Micro Machines Optimus Prime Playset & a Barbie doll at Kmart gifting Christmas tree. Hope it brings joy to kids less fortunate. Or light their darkest hour.
Im hard to buy for. Clothes isnt doable because I can be picky and am an odd size. My collection - nobody knows enough about my hobbies to know what to buy. I dont really need anything - as I get necessities whenever theyre needed - for me or our house. So I usually just get money and giftcards - from even the closest relatives and my wife/kids. And if I were to tell people what Id want - the list would be so specific Id pretty much know what people are getting anyway. All I want is to be surprised. For someone to take some consideration into my likes and dislikes and take a wild swing at it. Cards and money feel so impersonal. Though - we are remodeling our kitchen this year - which will be 10k at the least for supplies and doing the work ourselves. So I guess money is the best gift this time around lol
Asked for a few Lego sets, blurays, few Switch games, and two Star trek Lower Decks tshirts. i make a list on Amazon. I can figure my sister got me Marvel Alliance 3 and one shirt. My dad slipped about them getting me a shirt so that makes both. Plus saw a empty delivery box from Lego. Given size of box it might be Lego BD-1. Other set i really want is Trech run diorama. Hope i get Pokemon Sword. Almost done 100% done with Scarlet. Gives me new adventure to do. also on list: Pikman 3 Luigi Mansion 3 Lego Mandolorian helmet Blurays: Top Gun Maverick Bullet Train Student Bodies Peacemaker s1 Return of the Living Dead My Blue Heaven What I don't get I might pick up next week.
