I feel so selfish. I just came from Walmart, and grabbed Alternator Sunstreaker, and Skids, along with Chromia.... Granted, I could also have gotten BW Rhinox, and Cheetor along with the first wave of Cybertron minicons. But still, I need to get other people's gifts..... Grrrrr..... darn my habit!
I got ALL my gifts over the past 3 months. I'm done with everyone else, now it's all about me..... who still can't find Cyb Deluxe wave 4, bubble Alts OR BW 10th figures
I bought myself decepticharge today while gift shopping for others. Buying gifts for yourself is normal, everyone does it this time of year. Just dont overspend your funds.
I suppose that's the key, but then there's that purple Galvy I was wanting, and Twincast, and..... Furman was right, it never bloomin' ends.
So..it's bad that I've been buying myself stuff these past few weeks, and am now out looking for more stuff (Alts/BW) while I bought gifts for my parents, sister, brother-in-law and two nieces in one fell swoop from Amazon.com?
I'm thinking of taking some of my recent Transformer purchases and donating them to Toys 4 Tots or some other charitable organization.
Do most Toys for Tots programs only want new/sealed toys? 'Cause I have a buttload of stuff from the past 10 years from a half dozen different toy lines that I could easily afford to give away to such a cause. I don't have the boxes for everything though, and even then, they wouldn't be sealed. And then there's all the loose MLs and SMC, etc. Would they take all that or should I just gather it all up and truck it to Goodwill?
They will take new, unwrapped, toys. If you have any MISB TF's you care to part with, they'll take them. Your other option is to take it to Goodwill and see about getting a receipt for tax purposes.
DO NOT GIVE STUFF TO GOODWILL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They SELL a third of what People DONATE and THROW AWAY the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OF WHATS Sold 65% goes to Operations 25% goes to Paying Employees and 10% goes to needy Families. YES 10% I worked there for 6 months as a Manager and it was always the same. Give the loose toys away to folks that have kids and the friends they have.
I buy gifts for friends and family all through the year and put them in my gift closet until x-mas. That way I don't deplete all of my funds around the end of the year when traditionally, next years TF's come in early. Which was why I was able to get a Beachcomber last year at Wal-mart instead of having to go online to find one.
I kinda played it smart this year and decided to order/pre-order everything I wanted as far as TFs go from BBTS for the next 3 months or so. That way, I can focus solely on getting gifts for my family. My wallet can scream about it later!
