Keaton. see besides personally liking Keatons portrayal i tried to think about how Bale and Keaton's Wayne/Batman would be like in each other's movieverse. Bale wouldn't come off that well in Keaton's batmanverse, but Keaton would Dominate in Bale's Batmanverse

To Clooney's credit, I thought his deep Batman voice was cool sounding. The downside is the coolness factor gets destroyed with each corny line he says.

I can't imagine Burton doing "Batman Beyond" PERIOD - I think "Superman Lives" completely taxed any lingering willingness Burton may have had to do another comic-book movie. That having been said, though, I think a Tim Burton version of "Batman Beyond" would probably at the very least LOOK interesting in a time where most sci-fi futures still look like "Blade Runner" knockoffs, given Burton's retro-1950s sci-fi leanings. Heck, Blight himself looks like he just stepped out of an EC comic (which, considering that the character he was inspired by, the Phosphorous Man, was a Silver Age creation, isn't really a stretch).

Anyway, I have to favor Keaton. Bale's Wayne was OK, but the Batgrowl in the sequels really did some damage for me. Keaton's performance still has enough eccentric charm as Wayne to complement - and even sometimes feed into - his more subdued Batman.

Keaton. The main reason I say this is that aside from Batman Begins, it seems like Bale is only half-assing. (Sorry for the language.) He really just kind of floats about and shows up, growls and punches and that's it. Keaton was there both as Bruce and Bats and did a good job. Just my opinion.

explain. Nolan/Bale Batman would do fine in Burtonverse because he can actually move in his bat suit (Don't get me wrong I love the look of the 89 suit) and would take that guy on top of the church rooftop a lot faster. Burton/Keaton Batman wouldn't be fast enough to move in the Nolanverse.

Michael Keaton doing a Batman Beyond esque Batman film would be the best thing ever.

Another heads up, the tallest Batman to date is Adam West. (Consider that Burt Ward was a fully grown adult when he played Robin)

That 6ft 2 of pure West, will have been unsurpassed for 50 years by 2016. Only Batfleck can measure up to him.

if i'm right, both Robert Lowery and Lewis Wilson were the same height as Adam Wast, give or take an inch.

IMDB lists Lowery at 6'1". There is no recorded height for Wilson.

If we want to be pedantic about it, West is indisputably the tallest actor to play Batman in a live-action feature film. (as opposed to serials and animation, Kevin Conroy is apparently also 6'2")

now just imagine all those "catwoman" lines are voiced by Bane.

and you have the problem with the whole trilogy right there. no one bothered to check to make sure the voices sounded any good.

and just kept going with them. Keaton might of been shorter, but i still found him way more intimidating as batman. but maybe that is because THAT version didn't try to sugar coat, or hide the fact, that batman is an insane psychopath, who's paranoid as can be. and in a narcissist. considering his logo is on everything.

After all, you don't see wonder woman naming her invisible jet, "the wonder plane." or having a "bat signal".

and i think the keaton one portrayed that perfectly.

If were talking live action id go with bale, then west, but if I were to factor in animated portrays of batman I'd say Conroy is overall the best batman, then probably derich bader in a close second

After watching The Dark Knight a week after Batman Begins I will say there voice was deeper this time but it all worlds in context. In the Nolan world it makes sense for that voice so people don't recognize its the celebrity Bruce Wayne. Also I feel the newer Batman has so many more roles to play. Bale has to be Batman the college student, the lost traveler, the playboy, The Batman, and himself when is with Alfred.

Keaton only has to play Batman in the suit and out the suit. Its not Keaton fault its more Burton deciding to focus on Joker.

well, to be fair, the focus in the dark knight, was the joker as well.

it sure the hell, wasn't batman. remember, Batman, isn't an origin story.

I mean both got a lot of focus in TDK but at the end of the day you know Bruce Wayne/Batman was the main character who got the most screen time. When watching Batman I feel its 52% Joker 48% Batman.

it's been awhile since i have seen the dark knight. but i recall it being mostly a joker story, then the cops, and sometimes batman, until the end.

batman's parts are the least memorable in the dark knight.
