I have liked all of their movies and their humor is much than Bay, that's for sure. They also know how to develop characters and write good stories, but what I'm worried about is that they might not understand the lore of Transformers.

Heh heh, quote from the article...
Like, the same thing Bay gets accused of? I'm not saying they wouldn't be good choices, I'm saying there's an excellent chance they'd "mess it up," in the Bay-haters' words, just as much as Bay has.

I think that even minimal lore, but done creatively and with good intuition may work well enough.

I think that much of people's knowledge about Transformers stems from vaguely remembered G1 cartoon. It's noticable, when they try to juxtaposition the movies with the Transformers lore without referring to any modern concepts. When Paramount announced the cinematic universe the audience reaction was to proclaim that Transformers does not have enough material to support a universe, which isn't true; even when we resort only to original G1 there's plenty to build upon from US and UK comic runs.

    Nope.

Lord & Miller would ruin Michael Bay's vision of the universe of the films.

I am sad as I type this because I wide truly miss Bay as director. But I welcome a new director to carry on this vision. Not shit on it. Fuck Lord & Miller. Those overrated jumped up little shits.

There are two prequels in the works: The Bumblebee movie and so-called Transformers One, perhaps a third one in the ancient Rome if it comes to fruition. However, there is still a continuation of TLK in the working planned for 2019 release. I presume they are talking about this one.

What? How are they overrated? Yea recently they've been having problems, but they directed 21 and 22 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs which were good films. These guys directed 3 good movies, they're better directors than Bay and they could make these movies better.

...Bay has a vision of the universe of the films? Funny, must have gotten lost in the heap of continuity errors. :lol

I'm not gonna trash the two directors but those two movies actually were influenced by Bad Boys which was Bay's movie.

Although we really need to see the franchise go into a new direction or there's gonna be franchise fatigue.

    Y-y-y-y-y-yikes.

Lord and Miller would be able to direct a tight, compact fun wee movie, that clearly Last Knight was trying to do. I'd welcome it.

That's ok because I don't think anyone to ins point that is making these movies, understand or actually cares about the lore anyway ;)

THIS. People think G1 cartoon=All of TF lore, but it isn't. The ORIGIN of the TFs was in Marvel. The Wreckers, Primus and Unicron's most known origin hail from the UK comic. Sparks, protoforms, Pax Cybertronia and the Maximals come from Beast Wars, and the Allspark from Beast Machines. The Mini-Cons first appeared in Armada, colony planets from Galaxy Force... and the list just goes on.
And even if there wasn't enough lore, they can still create new things, right?

Mate, I see what you're trying to do here. It's not funny. Get off my posts. Go please yourself with an IDW comic in your mum's basement or wherever you sleep.

No need for the name calling there pal, I was simply saying that I think with the kinda self aware jokes, and the fairly clear action scenes that the Last Knight introduced, Lord and Millers style and humour would be the next logical step for the franchise, if they were to be brought on.

I think the more directors with history in animation, for a franshise that started in animation, is a great choice.

I am a bit nervous of their recent firing though...that's just not good, the last one lucasfilm fired was Josh trank, so they have a good record with the firings....
