Ik this belongs in unpopular opinions but I want to go into full depth on why I hate chocolate alright let’s go The taste is horrible I can’t describe how bad it tastes especially nut chocolate that makes me want to barf the nut taste makes the taste even worse than it is I hate anything with chocolate in it like cake ice cream it just makes it worse On the topic of chocolate ice cream it tastes like crap it’s even worse than regular chocolate So yeah there’s some of the many reasons why I hate chocolate if you agree or you want to call me a piece of crap for not liking chocolate go ahead and comment down below
I feel this way about coffee - smells and tastes like ash tray and burnt chocolate. With regards to the topic....I do like chocolate, HOWEVER, I'm certain I have some type of allergy to it (skin reaction on shoulders and face), and I also don't care for things like chocolate cakes, brownies, smores, or choco frosting. It's just too much.
I LOVE chocolate. I have a sweet tooth in general. That said, I prefer dark or regular milk chocolate to white chocolate. Better than chocolate though is chocolate with peanut butter, toffee, caramel, or hazelnut. Yummy!
Well, I guess it takes all kinds, lol. I like milk chocolate and I like coffee, but I can’t stand smoked salmon...figure that one out...
I dislike dark chocolate but enjoy the rest. But for some reason it is difficult to find white chocolate. Best I can do is Hershey cookies and cream. Pickles suck.
I love smoked salmon! When I was in Israel, and hotel breakfast buffets had multiple kinds of smoked and cured fish...mmm...heaven!
I don't care for chocolate, myself. I ate it when I was a kid. I can remember enjoying things like Snicker's bars, twix, KitKat, etc. As I got older, I just sort of soured on the flavor. No, I really just don't like the taste. It's definitely one of those things that gets you the, "you don't like what?!?!" response. I'm not much of a sweets/dessert guy, altogether.
I re-try smoked salmon every year around Christmas time just to see if I’ve been fixed yet, since I seem to be the only person who doesn’t like it. Lol. Pickled herring is another one I doubt I’ll ever be able to swallow.
Is it the flavor or the texture? If it's just the flavor, try cold smoked salmon or lox. I like them both, but cold smoked is another level.
I'm the opposite I love dark chocolate. It has more complex flavor than milk chocolate and white chocolate, it's rides that balance between sweet and bitter. White chocolate I would only eat if there wasn't anything else.
I respectfully disagree on everything except this: SO FREAKING TRUE! Even as a kid it always tasted weird. As weird as this sounds, like dark chocolate mixed with a bit of sugar and a cup of water. I LOVE all kinds of salmon. My mom say she ate a lot of fish when giving birth to me so maybe I grew to love the taste or something.
I'm the same with dark chocolate. And since I don't know anyone in my family or friends that like it, I usually eat it just to not throw it away. I hate throwing away good food.
Love chocolate. Like 3 musketeers, twix, pb cups, snickers, etc. only thing i don't Really like in them is almonds. i hate almonds. Love smoked salmon. Don't have it that much but love it. But do not like coffee. Frappachinos i do like though.
I'm generally a chocolate fan (got shelves full of chocolate bars as a personal sweet shop at the moment ), but there are some I've found to be... wrong... If you want to try proper chocolate, go for Belgian or Swiss - they really know how to make a good chunk of chocolate. Our chocolate in the UK varies, there's some cheap stuff that's awful, through the "daily chomp" stuff I can eat all the time like Mars and Snickers (I know they're global brands, but the recipes are different around the world according to local food laws), through to the lovely "too rich to eat too much at once" like Thorntons. On the other hand, I avoid Hershey's like the unholy plague that it is. A former manager brought some bite size Hershey's back from a trip to the US as an office treat... I swear I've had food that tasted and smelled better on its way back up than that "chocolate" did. I could actually cup a piece in my hands and smell the vileness through the wrapper. How anyone can eat that and consider it viable as chocolate is beyond me. A lot of people apparently don't consider white chocolate to be real chocolate because it doesn't contain cocoa solids like other chocolate does (it does have cocoa butter in it). Whereas milk chocolate is just chocolate diluted with milk, white chocolate is actually missing a component. I love all three - ideal breakfast when I'm on holiday is smoked salmon on blini (or sometimes just by itself) and a chocolate croissant washed down with a cappuccino and a glass of orange juice Apparently, up until 2004 companies wanting to sell white chocolate in the US required a temporary marketing permit as it hadn't been fully approved by the FDA (such a permit currently exists for Ruby Chocolate for the same reasons); if it's only been approved that recently, that could be why it's hard to find as it's not built up the customer base it has in other countries.
I'm all about chocolate!!! Only candy, cookies, ice cream and cake I will eat. HAS TO have chocolate or mostly be chocolate or I won't touch it. Then I gotta have a nice cold cup (freezer cold, not lukewarm fridge cold) of milk to wash whatever chocolate it is down. Ahhhhhhhhh
How could you hate chocolate? It's serves every purpose: remedial training rewards for children, emotional support for spouses, marital aids when in syrup form, the possibilities are unlimited.
I love smoked meats and that includes fish too. I love dark chocolate and chocolate for that matter. Now white chocolate I'm not really big on but i will eat it if its with the right thing say like covered pretzels. I am not much of a coffee drinker but do like a cup every know and again.
I like reasonably dark chocolate (70-ish%) more than milk chocolate (typically 50-ish%), and I like milk chocolate more than white chocolate. That all being said, I can respect people not liking it. (Also love me some smoked salmon) But you wanna know what I genuinely don't like? How when I eat dark chocolate it makes me sneeze. Not kidding. It goes away after a few more bites, but that first bite after a chocolate hiatus just makes me sneeze up a storm.
