So there you have it, well rumors have it that the following songs are leaked from the possible album: Oh My God (End of Days/Live) Madagascar (live) The Blues (live) Chinese Democracy (live) Silk Worms (live) Riyadh and the Bedouins (live) I.R.S. (demo) Better (demo) There Was a Time (demo) From what I gather from the GNR forums its going in a totally different direction from appetite for destruction. Don't expect an instant masterpiece or a steeming pile of shit as far sound goes.
I love you Axl, but Velvet Revolver is what we've used to replace the hole that you left in our lives. Still, I'll probably check this out expecting it to be decent to good, but not great.
People still care about GNR? How they have not alienated every single fan is beyond me. After the sham that was their last tour I have given up on them. Won't bother with this album if it ever really happens.
I heard IRS. Its.... um... nothing special. Its not shitty, its not something I'd change the station if I heard on the radio. but its not the band I grew up listening to. Chinese Democracy would make an excellent soundtrack to Duke Nukem Forever.
I remember Guns N Roses, this however is Bums N Posers. Remember when The Offspring was going to Call Splinter "Chinese Democracy" just to say that it was released, of course Axl threatened to sue them so the dropped it.
The reason this will sell well is cause of people who are in like 18-20s love 80s hair metal and think of axl as some type of metal god. Dont belive me I know a few of those types and expect them to pick it up and waste money on it. I like old guns and roses (my sis listened to them alot in the 80s and such) but dont expect alot from the album. But hey anything can happen.
I remember when Rose was on whatever awards show he erformed on a few years ago. Man, he sounded like shit covered in burnt hair. Don't think I could listen to that again. Think I'll pass whenever it comes out.
Not just VR (Though I do like them a lot) but all the other old bands that have managed to scrape a few albums out since Axl flipped out...Bon Jovi, Metallica, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Warrant, Tesla, Great White, Aerosmith...they've all put out albums and they've all toured recently (I've seen them all within the last 2 years....) Axl announces the album is "coming soon" every few years. I'll believe it when I see it...and I'll wait to hear a few tracks before I buy it Personally I'm betting Nelson gets a new album in stores first...
It was some MTV awards show. Music videos or movies I can't exactly remember. Either way it was a truly depressing sight.
