Thanks, but we've been following this since news broke around Tuesday or so. Everyone who has stuff coming in is keeping tabs on when (if) they hit the States or not. No way to know right now what all (of ours) was on that ship, but it's definitely an impact.

I ordered 6 figures from AliExpress between 29th Nov and 4th Dec.

I’ve received 4 of those figures and the last 2 have arrived in the UK. Just in the domestic system.

Quite surprised how fast it has taken from shipping to arrival at my front door. Circa 10 days on average for those orders.

More surprised as we get closer to Xmas and the domestic postal services will feel the strain over the festive / New Year period.

Is ems the only way to go now, as I don’t want to wait 6+ weeks. There are 2 to 3 small 52toys figures I was eyeing from shows and baba, and have been out of the loop for quite some time, and wondering how to ship. Ems will cost me 30$, which is quite a lot for me at this stage.

Also, do you know how things are shipping from Japan via sal or air packet?

SAL took four weeks and EMS took two. Aliexpress Standard is looking to clock in at five weeks. All were placed on 11.11, although admittedly I took some extra time to have an inspection before shipping from China to US on the TaoBao orders.

Same here. I have an order from ShowZ has the last tracking date on Nov 14th of "flight departure" status. Nothing since then for me either.

    Hey Mike,

I dont understand what you mean. So either i ship using free method, or the China Post Epacket (+14$), or EMS (+30$), it wont make a difference on when i get it?

Hey, have you noticed, now 16 days later, that your tracking now says “Airline starts shipping” for a second time?

I think this would technically be the third time my order from Baba has seemed to ship, maybe it is now “the charm(ed one).”

Also, even if it’s more expensive, this is even more reason to just order domestic.

USPS is giving me an ETA of Saturday, so it’ll be a slightly late Chanukah gift to myself.

Still, that assumes things stay on time, since...

I saw USPS warning of delays above and beyond the usual disruptions caused by CV when I put my tracking number into their site.

So, I’ll be plenty happy if my order arrives before the year is over. :D

Why are these things news articles? There are shipping delays EVERY holiday season.

yep, my latest 2 SpeedPak shipment has been stuck in Canadian customs for over a week now, which i assumed was due to annual holiday volume around this time. prior, everything was being delivered fine in under 2 weeks for the past few months.

Its worse than previous times, especially for the Post Office. When Covid hit, shipping was already getting nuts. I talked to a PO I go to yesterday and they had said they didn't get their usual holiday part time help this year. I was even told yesterday was probably THE last day any of what I dropped off that would make it before X-Mas, even though I believe the advertised cut off is actually more like this Friday/Saturday. Keep in mind, I mostly sent First Class mail.

In the meantime, FedEx and UPS have been crushing it because I've seen packages get delivered much faster than in normal times. Go figure.

Right, you've got reduction in USPS workforce due to COVID, and also people aren't shopping or gathering in person, so more stuff is happening through the mail. Sounds like a mess.

Does this mean it's still in china or in the USA? Screenshot_20201219-121943_Chrome.jpg
