The last time I used them was (a couple?) years ago when ShowZ ran out of stock on something and the experience was...ok. They were not very communicative but I knew how to find tracking numbers and such to find the answers myself. No problem with parcel or product so nothing really negative to work through. It was shortly after that I started reading about others having issues with them so I guess I dodged a bullet?

Now I use ShowZ as my primary, TFSafari as my #2, and I know some folks have used bombusbee with regularity.

Otherwise I stick to the following trusted ebay sellers:

Also, TFW2005 resident 3D guru wheeljackfan16 / JRC Design ran into some hard times and is slowly backfilling/refunding older orders from his ebay shop. He's still on the boards but I believe he's not taking any more orders from the ebay shop or his dedicated website so he can concentrate on getting out of the rutt. Good guy, I hope his situation improves.

 

Just so everyone knows, the Pandemic hit TF-Direct extra hard than other shops due to their location. Also they were crippled by the shipping issues; it destroyed their business to certain regions. Pile that on with a pandemic... it was tough times.

Tf-direct has always made it right when something went wrong for me; within their power. We all know the risk of buying from China. Can't send stuff back because it costs more than the product is worth in some cases.

Their customer service was always very kind to me; but the stress of those years and place, can get to the best of any of us.

Lets just say they are aware of where they are at. There was communication to customers about it. Now that their location's shipping is back to normal to North America without extra cost , I think they are recovering.

Still one of the best Facebook blogs for product pics and fanfare .

 

And that's why I continued doing business with them after their items started arriving 1-2 months after the 7-25 days they usually guaranteed, or do other things like "mischarge" me the wrong amount on a preorder balance. It's painfully obvious they are struggling and so I would argue that's when it's the most important to have CLEAR and TIMELY communication with their established customers, so we don't think they're going to drop off the face of the Earth communication wise like so many ebay sellers do. I bought on average 5-7 transformers from them a year. So it's really disappointing that when I have my first legitimate issue with an item, they drop the ball so hard. That just tells me that I've been lucky that I hadn't had more. This, compared to BBTS, who on my VERY first purchase I received an item with quality issues. They let me return it and sent me a replacement no problem.

All TF-Direct had to do is explain to me exactly what was going on when I asked for a simple status update on my claim, which I did every 3-4 weeks and I only followed up that often because I was never given a timetable or ETA.

You do you, but I'm considering myself lucky that Paypal offer to eat the loss on the item (and wasn't the full price either as the original $9.95 pre payment was over 180 days). Show.z let me go ahead an open a afterorder on the parts I need so we'll see how that goes. I'm already receiving a lot more helpful customer assistance from them than I ever did TF-Direct.

Bought a ko g1 trailbreaker from bigbangbigbangbigbang on eBay and item arrived fast and in perfect shape. Some tolerances were a bit tight but that’s not on seller. Seller I would definitely recommend.

 

I actually ordered the MP27 Ironhide KO from them last year. Came fairly quickly (about a month).

They are also a good 30 to 40 dollars cdn cheaper from known sellers baba and Mrbrian...so not sure if that difference is enough of a warning...about 15 percent cheaper
