Has anyone else found that all their items keep getting blocked by security checks lately? I'm currently in Korea so maybe the government here is blocking everything due to Covid19, but the tracking info makes it seem like my packages aren't leaving China. Is China blocking outgoing mail?

Not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that mr.brian2009 on eBay is one of the alternative, or at least affiliated accounts for one*day_bid on eBay They're both based in Shanghai and their listings are completely identical except for the store name, and to a small extent, pricing.

So, just to add some context, do you have a link to an item or seller's page? Have you already emailed the seller? Do they still have items available for sale? Do they have any other negative feedback? Did you open a case with Paypal? My best guess, if you're referring to gkstatues6 on eBay then yeah, they look best to be avoided. They don't seem like scammers so much as just lazy middlemen who sell a whole bunch of stuff they don't have and don't followup with buyers.

Well ebay refunded my money for the shifen187 scam. First time in 2 and a half years of buying stuff from China on ebay that I got scammed. grrrr...

The seller sent me a lego instead of the Transformer. Since I did receive a package and the help I found online wasn't clear what to do for opening with ebay (not paypal) in this case.

    1. Open a case
    2. Request a refund with the choice that the wrong item was sent (don't select the option that item hasn't arrived)
    3. Seller ignored case
    4. After three days escalate to ebay through your case
    5. Select that the seller didn't respond. I put in the notes that the seller sent a lego instead of the item purchased.
    6. Ebay refunded the amount

Finally heard back from Animetropolis and they told me the paint shipped out already and they would update with tracking info but it still remains not updated. This was purchased last week. How long do you think I should let it show as not shipped before I cancel? I know they are listed on the “good eBay seller” list but I feel like I’m being jerked around. Next time I’ll buy from a domestic seller.

Cannot confirm if it was a scam or not, but i’ve had this exact thing happen before that turned out to be one. So I decided to take the refund.

This was today? My tracking is still showing diddly-dick since the 4th April… Might get onto them now

In other, better news, my MP36+ is going to be delivered to me in the next two hours! My jaw almost hit the floor when I go the shipping notice this morning – 5 days door to door from Taiwan, absolutely amazing! Just hope it's not a bloody Lego man haha!

I tried ordering Maketoys Meteor from GK Statues awhile back and I don't think he's a scammer, just a badly operated business. I ended up asking him to cancel my order, and he obliged (and fully refunded me), with this as his response:

So this makes it sound like he orders his items from a supplier after the order is made on ebay. And I assume the instances where he can't acquire the item are what result in the occasions where he just never ships it out.

Is anyone else's shipments from reputable Chinese Sellers sitting there at "ORIGIN POST IS PREPARING SHIPMENT" or "Processed Through Facility"? Some of mine have been sitting like that for weeks and weeks.

I have a Dx9 Gabriel still in limbo. Ordered 11th March. Shipped between then and the 18th March and seems stuck in Shanghai International airport. I’ve gone back to the seller who are saying restrictions on freight/items being sent. I think I’m going to have the same issues with a THF hyper Magnus and IT Megs.

    Your namesake, steve880925_7!
Cannot recommend him highly enough, he must be some sort of eBay warlock - he may even have surpassed Bababobobeebee in my estimations

I have a bad feeling that something shady is up with toystrike, who just suddenly changed his name to toysundercover. All his items have disappeared from his store. I had a pre order for FT 16M from back in November 2019 that he kept insisting was going to get a 2nd run, and now I feel like a fool.

He pretty much doesn't ship to the US, so his listings don't seem to appear on this side of the pond.

Hmm yeah that’s odd. If you follow that link, little / nothing shows for him you’re right, but if you search in the eBay app it shows all his stock (1788 items currently).
As far as I can tell then it’s a programming glitch, but he’s legit alright! So much so he only seems to stock official items, no 3P shock horror
