Yeah Figures with magnetic boots for which ferromagnetic panels are used on the vehicle toys. Vehicles that each have spring-driven motor gimmicks that still function three decades later with little chance of the system breaking down due to degradation of the batteries or wiring, a feature which essentially means they're technically waterproof. But 1987 saw the tail end of GI Joe: A Real American Hero and its direct-to-video film, gimmick-heavy post-movie Transformers, Masters of the Universe was still going strong, and so was The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. All that competition left little room in toy aisles for a new property like Starcom
I suddenly wonder if the figures could actually fit in the Dia pilot seats because of their wider stance. I see Mikey riding the little pod thing in the box art but not in the actual photo in the lower right corner.
