What are some characters that you thought were a great idea or an interesting concept but for one reason or another, whether it be the Sunbow show ending or the writers not feeling like there was enough space in the series, never actually were given much of a chance to be developed?

Based on the toy tech specs, transformations, modes, and over all look, what characters would you have liked to see more of and be developed?

For me I always liked the idea of a character like Punch / Counterpunch. Which side of the war truely motivates him? And the Targetmasters or Powermasters. How do Autobots and Decepticons learn to co-habitate and work with Nebulon Partners for greater power? Fortress Maximus is another interesting one. He hates war with a passion, but finds himself fighting to save the Autobots every day as their last line of defense. He is the largest of all Transformers. But, what type of dynamic does that give him in his interactions/rleationship with Metroplex? Same thing for Scorponok and Trypticon. Hi-Q with Optimus prime would have been good to see.

Without going on to write a book with many farther details, I'll make a quick list of characters I would have liked to have seen get some developement in The Transformers show.

Zarak (and Scorponok) along with Galvatron. Can they co-exist? Would it be better than Megatron and Starscream's co-existence?

Those are some right off the top of my head that I think would have given us entertaining story arcs and really added to the entertainment value of Transformers. Who's on your list?

Well I always go back to Skyfire and how his troubles with Starscream would evolve.

 

The Dinobots, I kind of wished they were able to grow as characters. Say like start with them being almost stupid, like a baby would be. But as time went on and discover stuff and learn from battles, they become smarter and learn to talk better. So like in G1, when Rodimus took over as leader, they should of been powerful and smart warriors by that point.

 

Dreadwing. His "development" was pathetic. Constantly cry about Skyquake, Starscream comes, gives the Autobots the forge yet doesn't join them for whatever dumb reason, then he dies. And he only even did anything during like 3 or 4 episodes. Most of the season was him standing in the background. It's like the entire point of his character was to anticlimactically solve every problem the Autobots had with getting to Cybertron.

 

Any TF Prime character besides Knock Out and Smokescreen.

^^^That would be very cool. In G1 I always wanted more backstory on Iron Hide, Ratchet, and Hot Rod, and Kup. Just found them to be interesting characters.

In Prime, I see Ratchet as a fairly well developed character, but I still want more back story. How did he go from being a war medic to joining team Prime? The episode "Stronger Faster" with the Synth-en revealed some of his repressed desires (namely to be a more active warrior). Where did this come from? Where was he trained in battle skills, etc.?

Sorry if there is a comic book or something that I'm missing that gives this info. ....actually, if that's true, let me know about it

Minibots, especially Powerglide and Cosmos.

Rodimus Prime needed a conclusion to his story arc.

The Triple Changers should have been more than thugs in season two and Blitzwing and Octane needed their season three stories continued.

All the Headmasters needed a story about figuring out how to live since each of them are two people from two worlds combined into one.

Zarak and his intentions with the Decepticons should have been explored.

It would have been nice to see them do more with Gavatron going insane. Especially what Soundwave thought.

Skyfire getting used to being a warrior and his rivalry with Starscream should have been shown more.
