Yes and yes! This exact reasoning is why I keep both T30 jetfire and Siege "jetfire"... Are they brothers maybe? All I know is I like displaying them together with Siege SixGun and the Aerialbots.

true enough,Prowl is often on the rough side, But you really should judge each case by its own merits....

It was Saber that started the Hostilities here, Prowl tried to explain The genesis of the term “ to talk a blue streak” and how it applies to the G1 character by the same names

Saberprime replies with these very rude comments.....
    And
He then compiled his rudeness with this....
which is not only in error, it’s something he wouldn’t even have first hand experience knowing since he was born in the late 80s.

so in other words, he’s talking about something he knows nothing about

which is done thing he does all the time, argues and argues on things he done little to know research on, hell ibrenrmber an argument if his on the color scheme of a character, telling everyone they were wrong......but has also admited bring color blind on many Occasions

So yes, Given the poster, his history, AND their caustic posting in this very thread, I'd say Prowl was being very diplomatic

I certainly agree in some of those cases. But does the presumable etymology of the names not help for any of them?
    like:
    "the third of the firsts"
    "hunter of peace"
"first/main special" (works for OP and E1, reinforcing their connection)
    *shrug*

He's also called Optronix or just Optimus depending on continuity. Personally I like Orion Pax the best but I'm kind of bias towards cartoon continuity.

I understand why Slag needed to be renamed but I really wish they would do better than either giving him the name of another Dinobot... Snarl from Animated... or changing one letter of his original name. Slug just sounds like a homeless snail... I know it also can refer to bullet slugs but that doesn't really fit him either.

I don't even understand why they all have "S" names except for Grimlock. Honestly the only ones I like are Swoop and Snarl... though I think Snarl fits better on that wolf from Cybertron than a Dinobot. So just rename Slag, Snarl, and Sludge and drop the whole "S" name thing to give them something better suited for their characters. How about Tritops, Armorspike, and Longrack? Yeah I know Longrack is already a Giraffe from Beast Wars but the name still fits.

That's always bothered me too. Either drop the one or make her a Prime as well. Not to imply that Optimus and Elita are married even though they were a couple... but like as a rank... to show that they're equals...

The worst part about that name is that I have no freaking clue to pronounce it. He's never appeared in any of the cartoons so there's not really been an official way to pronounce the damn thing... I've personally been saying it as jeraxus... why the R when there isn't even an R in his name... because I have no freaking clue how "Jhi" is suppose to sound and Jeraxus just sounds better than whatever the hell that name is suppose to be.

The name's got swapped with Battletrap.

Harmony Gold and the license to Macross were the reason for Jetfire looking different and being named different (as he didn't look like his toy)

    It’s pronounced
    Gee-ax-us

It was an inside joke from the writers, they felt hasbro/marvel has set the G2 comic book up to fail from the start

Simply looking it up would have told you how to pronounce it
    Oh this is so sad,

That’s exactly what they did with the word ONE......Or are you unaware that the word prime is often synonymous with the word one and main

So by calling her Elita One they are showing they are equals

Slug also means "to strike with a hard blow", which considering his personality is pretty appropriate.

    Le what now? o_O

Oh quite the contrary. Throwing a kilometric f"""ton of the same s""""t where ones s£££££t are coming from is the most efficient way to deal with them, most of the time.

    That's a given...

In the words of Drill Sergeant Kauffman "Diplomacy is great and all, but sometimes someone simply needs a beat ass."

That's who I was talking about. (At least, I was guessing he's a real person.) Optimus Prime isn't real. He is living in a fictional world tailored for him to not only survive, but win.

One shouldn't follow the advice of fictional characters.

I know, I was being playfully cheeky. Blue text it is from now on, for these such occasions...

I'm Sorry, too! I don't venture into this part very often, and don't know your customs. lol.

Even if you did blue text, I might not have known you were playing.

Sorry I have a life long hatred of Alpha Trion.

    He sounds like a prick.

Wisdom is wisdom no matter the source.

I swear some people on this site are just hear to tear into every comment.

Wisdom comes from experience. Without experience, your 'wisdom' doesn't have the wisdom to be wisdom. And, since it's not coming from a real person, who's lived in the real person, it's less wisdom than that of an newborn baby.

A fictional character has never had to survive the actual real world. That is something that is required when it comes to wisdom.

Not all wisdom comes from experience. My real world experience? No one likes a know-it-all.

Edit: Okay, then how does one gain wisdom, without experience? Without you know, being alive?

Or, is wisdom just something you are born with, now? Wait, being born, requires being a live too. Nvm.

So, how does wisdom work, without being a live?

Why can't wisdom just be related to you? Isn't telling a fable with a moral the passing on of wisdom?

Why can't we agree to disagree? Even if you're right, you're being a prick about it. It's midnight here. I've work in the morning. I don't need some online stranger being a dick to me.
