I don't think Chappelle is crazy. In fact, I respect the guy. His timing wasn't the best, but he did what he wanted to do, it wasn't about the money.
Hearing people, like Chapelle, be absolutely honest and make understandable sense, even when they're super-rich celebrities, is always nice; it's refreshing to know that there are some folks in Hollywood that have their head screwed on straight enough to have a set of relatively normal values.
I hope things work out for him, but did anyone else find it odd he has a farm? Sorry, but he seemed like the last person to be a farmer.
Chappelles cool. He's more like a regular guy than the rest. He's come such a long way and can see how his recent success has overwhelmed him into a few mental OMG's. Yet, he's still Dave and funny as hell. Was hoping he would remake the movie Roots from his Africa trip. In fact they should remake every movie (especially action and old Gangster) with Dave leading the role.
Did they talk about/deny the popular online conspiracy stating powerful black figures, including oprah herself, schemed to end his show? That conspiracy although over the top sounded much better than just dave got pissy about the contract he decided to sign and wants to reneg.
haha, I read that today. I thought it was well past over the top and into the pretty f'ing insane territory. http://youtube.com/w/Dave-Chappelle---Interview-on-Oprah---2.3.06?v=X8cjRsmjUAw&search=dave%20chappelle%20on%20oprah The Oprah video was up all day today, same with the powerful black figures stalking Chapelle article.
Truth. That's always a nice feeling to know that a super rich celebrity is a down-to-earth person. Makes you feel like you can identify with them more.
