With Titans return outc we're getting all sorts of new Titan Class figures! One of which, is Trypticon. Many collectors will want to pair Trypticon with his nemesis, Metroplex. The problem being not everyone got their hands on Metroplex in 14', and now scalpers are selling him for double the price he was first released at. What are the chances Hasbro will re issue Metroplex for us?

Pretty low I'd say. Reissues for non-g1 are not really part of Hasbro's plan.

Very good question in any case.

    Metropex is G1.

But even if it does happen, I think chances are that it will be a Hasbro Asia exclusive, so it will likely still be expensive for US fans.

The thread is about reissuing the huge Generations Metroplex though, not the G1 version. You bring a good point about Hasbro Asia, but it's still very unlikely.

I meant the Generations figure is still a G1 character. I think a Generations Metroplex reissue is still more likely than another actual G1 Metroplex reissue/Encore. I agree it's not very likely regardless, but on the other hand, when Trypticon hits, there are going to be a ton of people besides the thread-starter who missed the original Gen Metroplex release and are clamoring for one.

I still wish I had bought the SDCC version with the nice chrome legs and face. I bought 2 Metroplex from our local guys who snagged em at Costco. 70 bucks a piece was to hard not to jump on. Ended up selling the misb one on eBay but I like that sexy chrome version better.

Titan Class toys are fairly expensive to produce, so with Hasbro currently making Fortress Maximus I wouldn't expect them to re-release Metroplex anytime soon or ever.

I'd assume if they ever did, it would be a platinum edition... Or if the economy rockets into the mesosphere and toys become astronomically easier to produce.

Mertotitan is always a possibility, but I doubt there will ever be a standard re-release. Technically, there were already the standard retail release, the SDCC and the Takara one. Because it was offered three times, I don't see HasTak releasing it again 'just because'. Realistically, if they did just because people missed it the first time, then why not re-release EVERYTHING?

Best bet is an Asia re-release. We've had 2-3 year-old high-demand figures see re-releases there before.

How much would the re release probably cost for Americans?

If that were to happen, probably in the realm of $175 after shipping. Similar to Hasbro's Masterpiece Optimus Prime Asia release.

That's actually pretty doable. That'll be about $200 Canadian.
