i'll take target over TRU anyday, i'm hoping for Wal-mart, but target will be alright, be harder to get it, but not as hard as if it was a TRU exclusive
Even if this does hit US markets, is there high probability it will come out this holiday if we haven't received word from hasbro? Personally, I plan to keep my pre-order to get this set this year because the Protector is supposed to be out by Christmas, unless someone can correct me, and I don't want to wait 4+ months to use a Protector that I don't have a Rodimus for ( I missed out on all of these figures during the initial release since I have just come back to Transformers with Animated).
Not sure why people piss and moan about TRU exclusives being so hard to get? What exclusive have they had outside of Arcee that you can't walk in there and see stacks and stacks of? Finding an exclusive all depends on the popularity of the exclusive, not as much on the chain.
I agree popularity plays a big role. Remember when the ice cream truck twins was released? That wasn't a exclusive but it was hard to find for months.
usually TRU means no figure for me, damn store is too far away, target is the same problem but to a lesser extent, seeing as it is a bit closer i go to TRU once a year if i am lucky
That I can understand. That is the only thing that does stink is when there are none of a store in your area.
Strange they are using the Universe packaging style. I guess not everything is going to get mashed into the Generations line.
True, but judging the direction Hasbro(USA) marketing is going and after seeing this packaging. It is more likely an Asia release. But at a business standpoint, I don't see target or Wal-mart picking this up. They kind of like to be brand co-ordinated when displaying items. This will be the odd man out. I'm still hoping there is a North American release. But I see it as a TRU exclusive at best since they are a toy store and all the different toylines seems to be all mixed in. Heck some TRU's still have movie 1 toys. Come to think of it, we can't take K-mart out of the picture.
Star Wars had a TRU Exclusive wave (only because Target/Wal-Mart declined to buy the wave) and I never ever saw those figures on the shelves. I managed to score the figures I wanted only by asking an employee if they had more in the back. Went to TRU many times, never saw them on the shelves.
Sweet, just preordered this set at robotkingdom. Now I just need to sell my Henkei Cyclonus and I'm set
