This! I suspect that Reactivate and RotB are going to pass hype back and forth for the next several months. IF Reactivate launches this year the smart move would be to release along side RotB or within a couple months after it.

 

I'm praying they stick by this, I mean hell, look at games like Silksong, it was revealed way back when, then we got multiple trailers for it over the years, and yet we still don't have a solid release date for it.

Ever since fucking Covid man, just about not a single release has actually followed through without some kind of delay, and I so fucking hope we are finally past that point and can actually get completed games that don't have half a dozen delays before it finally comes out unfinished.

Just heard about this, I've never tuned into a Pulse stream before- have they done non-toy reveals in the past? If so there could be a shot at TFR... maybe. I wouldn't get your hopes up but I felt I'd ask.

 

That’s just a reveal stream for bots. Expect video game news to come separately and more than likely not from pulse streams.

 

Occasionally there will be some game announcements during a stream, but those are mostly for the larger streams involving all the brands instead of focusing on just one.

 

Alright seriously, what's with all the claims for this being on Unreal 5? Everything we have seen and heard points to in being on Unreal 4, and with virtually no reason/sources given to the claims multiple times, what's changed?

And more importantly, what are the sources for this, if there are any. It's a royal pain in the ass and time consuming to important a fully/mostly fleshed out project in 4.27 to the production version of 5.0, something which I don't think Splash Damage has enough time or experience quite yet to have been able to do to this project, especially seeing how troubled this game development has been.

 

Not to mention it’s a free to play game, so spending another couple years delaying the game to look a bit nicer is completely pointless when all it it needs to do is run well on most consoles and most PC’s.

 

E3 is officially the dead, so what are your guys bets on where they will do their next reveals? Will they hop onto a bigger one like Sony or Microsoft or will they do their own mini showcase since they have at least two TF games in the works and their own internal gaming studio.

I haven't found a solid answer yet, but I am very curious as to when they will show more stuff.

True, the does seem to becoming the new E3, but does that mean the bigger names are finally pushing more to doing their own thing, and maybe just reshowing or saving the really big reveals for their events?

I'd bet the house on it being on or before Summer Games Fest. It's a day before ROTB's release, the timing would be perfect. Though I do personally hope we get news a lot sooner than that but if we don't see anything for the next couple months I'm near certain we'll see something there.

 

If Rise is still meant to tie in with ROTB in some form or another then I wonder if it means that we can see Maximals and Predacons be added into the game later in the future to further promote the synergy? I mean imagine seeing Optimus Primal and BW Megatron in the same type of WFC/FOC inspired designs as the Autobots and Decepticons in the game.

 

They are two completely separate things, with their own story and universe.

At most, they may be DLC or future update characters as it will be an mmo like game, but will primarily just be there for shits and giggles. I don't think the beast bots will be in the main story besides the usual like the Dinobots, insecticons, predacons.

So far it doesn't seem they are going the Beast Wars route yet, but like I said, they probably will be DLC characters at some point or something.

 

Time travel is a gimmick that I hate. Everytime it's introduced I cringe and prepare myself for the shitshow I'm about to see and understand that the franchise will never be the same. That being said my inner kid coming out and being EXTREMELY hopeful. A DLC for a couple years down the line would be to travel to prehistoric Earth and shutdown whatever plans BW Megs was setting up that helped whoever this faction is come to Earth. Stupid I know but it would allow BW fans play that show in the TF universe and introduce new fans to it.

There could be predetermined bot types that your bot would switch to upon going through the lightbridge. For example: If there is character creation and you choose a sports car alt mode when you go to play the BW expansion you could automatically be a cat and but you could customize your color scheme and slight modifications to appearance when going back in time. You would auto revert when back in the present.

Just spit balling. I agree that SD isn't going to go with Beast Wars but it would be foolish not to tie into the movie somehow.

 

I think you are over thinking a little bit. Since it's an mmo type game, they could do the main story with the proper characters and then 6 months down the line be like oh yeah, here's some random beasts bots.

I mean look at other multiplayer games that add weird random things like Rambo, Robocop, and the Terminator to a game where it doesn't really fit, but they still do because it would be fun to play as. Mmos are meant to be played and last a very long time, so they will add random things every now and again to spice it up and make it more fun.

There's a thin line between what makes sense storywise and what's fun to play, and with something like an mmo, and where a key plot is to reactivate bots, they can totally go to a jungle or something and be like, oh look what we randomly found, beasts bots and really not explain much further.

I mean, we will have to wait and see, but something like that isn't out of the possibility.

 

Now why'd you have to go and say a thing like that? Now I'm imagining the crossover opportunities.
