I honestly highly doubt a major chunk was actually changed about the game. Because if you know anything about game development, it cost a lot of money and time to create something. Maybe some things here and there, but I think they had good intentions, but just executed horribly. And that makes me even more excited because they are so tight lipped about it.

I would assume they were using the same engine, or at least were familiar with it in case they needed to do something like this and take over.

 

So back to the game engine discussion for those that are curious





And then from what I have found even though DE uses the Evolution engine, they should have some experience with the unreal engine is some way, shape, of form, primarily from the section that isn't their main Warframe/Soulframe devs, as it aligns what we have heard so far. So with that said, I think this game will be built on Unreal Engine 4 (I doubt 5, but that would be fucking sick), and that Certain Affinity started with Unreal 4, messed it up, passed on to Splash Damage who is also familiar with Unreal, and then got some people/designers from DE who are at least somewhat familiar with Unreal.

I have vague memories that this was mentioned I think back around 2019 or so, so it may not necessarily be new news, but for those curious.

Also with that said, I don't think once again that many assets, game features/mechanics were necessarily removed/restarted, as I think the core stuff was there, but it needed some tweaking, and I think the transfer wasn't as necessarily as painful as we originally thought.

But could be wrong, especially when bad management is involved

Just as an aside, Insider Gaming did a piece on the game, it contains Zero new information and I am fairly sure they just skimmed this thread and took several of mine and other people's posts and put them under "Sources". Imagine a trailer for this game is out lol after the trailer reveal for the movie coming out today. I hope the trailer for this game is soon

With a 2023 (most likely end) release date, I would say yes, there is now a very good chance we could see an actual trailer this month

BUT

It will not be from RoTB, but a much more public event like the Game Awards where they can get more publicity for it.

Ok, after seeing the huge wave of interest created by the RoTB, I think it's safe to say, if there is a game still in development, they will drop a trailer this month or officially announce it at least.




If this game is still a thing, there is not a chance in hell we don't hear about it very soon, as a couple sources now have claimed it's coming out in 2023. Even if it get's delayed another year (quite possible), they are still at the very least announce it alongside RoTB and start getting that hype train going.

 

So Andrea Fairborne is a character name? That can’t be a coincidence and would definitely be a nod or tie-in to Marissa Faireborn.

 

Ah yes, someone caught on to the video easter egg for Faireborn! Yes, motion capture was done this year for the character Andrea Faireborne. Which would make sense with the military background of Marissa Faireborn from G1. In turn an important character along-side Delvin our main human character. Hopefully that clarifies things a little more. If you also search up Marissa Faireborn she's closely tied around the time the Quintesson's were involved in G1. So i'll let everyone do their research from there  

 

Optimus and Megs look great, Bumblebee on the other hand... waaay too skinny and tall. It just looks weird.

 

Am I tripping or does the this game have some of the elements from rise of the beasts like the skinny torso

 

Prime and Megs look pretty great, while at first I was a bit put off by how different Bee looks I think I can get behind it: his proportions give me faint Animated vibes, plus he still looks enough like his namesake.

 

Kinda my thoughts exactly. Also what's up with the Mad Max vibes? I mean, I won't diss a Mad Max crossover, like AT ALL, but this was not where I was expecting it to be.

I'm thinking they did that intentionally to be somewhat RoTB like to cross sell both and get each interested in each other for max publicity and appeal. And with that said, only further proves my point earlier is that yes, they still do indeed intend to release this alongside RoTB, or at the very least, announce/show it off and start building up hype for it an probably also the new toylines somehow.

 

Anyone else hoping this game gets revealed the awards next week

My sentiments exactly. He is a big enough name to where he wouldn't put a fake or long cancelled game on his name, and the fact he hasn't hinted more on it being cancelled brings even more hope.



This right here gives me a lot of hope. Why? Because it sounds like Tom reached out to them, and knows something we don't. Now, yes, they are probably under NDA, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have hinted at something, like the Certain Affinity dev, while also not coming out and officially saying something.
