Tencent was the owner of the previous Chinese Overwatch knock-off TF Online game as well. They do have an interest. TF is very popular in asian countries. But the fact how much Certain Affinity avoids to interact to ANY Transformers related posts on their twitter is just creepy. For example their latest tweet about who's your fav. game character in any game. They replied to ALL answers, except the top rated comment, which was Optimus.

I mean, it really isn't. When I talked with them, they told me the reason they dont speak about it is because of the NDA. It's not like they dont want to talk about it, they are forced to not talk about it or suffer heavy consequences.

Not Responding to who someone’s favorite character is from your own tweet isn’t NDA covered, they themselves chose to ignore it on their own. NDA’s stop you from talking about your project, not everything related to the IP. Imagine how shitty it would be for the marvel cast to be like “we can’t say anything MCU related or even mention it just because we got 1 movie coming.”

I have a feeling that this is somehow MORE likely is for the Certain Affinity TF game, rather than Rise Of The Beasts.

We can't rely on gut feelings. We need stuff that's more concrete.

Seriously, who is this? I have never even heard of them before. Are they even involved with the game development? Nothing I have seen from them points that they do. Who is this?

Ok, I think you are seriously reaching, this is just some generic energy company THAT HAS NO INVOLVEMENT with the game. Literally the only connection I can find is that they tweet about "transforming" the world. Besides that and one completely unrelated post here, I think you are spreading fake news. Nothing points to Certain Affinity, Tencent, or Even Leyou. They're just using a certain phrase. That's it.

But seriously, there's nothing here? Did you just auto follow searches for the word transformers? Because there's no explanation that connects the dots from a to b.

It’s a Twitter page that is doing marketing related to transformers by pretending to be a Twitter account within the universe. Each post has clues. Most assumed it was related to the next movie, tho with the movie taking place before Twitter, it is up for debate what it’s supposed to be marketing.

More of a reason for them to invest into other countries as much as I don't like them. But if they really want this game to release and to get their profit, they'll invest into places like EU and NA

I think its safe to say this game is as good as dead at this point. China is the biggest gaming market in the world by a huge number and if they can't release in China, I don't see why the would finish the game as china would be a huge part of revenue. Also, every single company involved with Tencent lost a sizable chunk of stock value and investors no longer want to make a bad investment based on the new strict regulations. Unless they sold off the ip to a new Publisher and Certain Affinity, I dont see why they would continue this project if their returns will be a lot less now.

At this point, I cant even find a reason to justify this game, it has all the signs of Anthem and more and we all know how that turned out. Something I learned from the past few years, if something smells fishy, it means some really fishy stuff is going. Right now, this smells like a sturgeon left out in the sun for a week.

the new law has nothing to do with making video games all it's just a limit for minors to "sToP aDdIcTiOn" but I do somewhat agree about concern for the game hell imo seems like some people are trying to say it's alive and well to spread hype for the game for views but hey it's apparently supposed to have a October 2021 beta so who knows but I'm on the fence about the game same as you but not as much but this so far is no where fucking close to anthem's demise not even cyberpunk's demise either saying this is another anthem situation is just a exaggeration because hell for all we know we've been hoping for a game that got cancelled long ago and they just never made a statement ( that's a least one thing I'm thinking) to where as anthem it just had a development shitshow and released and then proceeded to crash and burn 50 times over and then when things were going well for it EA cancelled the 2.0 version but as for this transformers game is in some sort of hell guaranteed and again is definitely being used for views at this rate by some people at least imo but given certain affinity's reputation I think it has a fair chance still not very high but not low enough to definitely say it's done for especially with that law in China it has absolutely nothing to do with game development

That news is years old, they planned for the Oct 2021 beta back in the PowerPoint that was released back from like 2019, since then plans have changed and that's not happening. October is in a few weeks and the game hasn't been confirmed, mentioned, named, or had updated info, so I will for sure say the beta is not happening next month.

The only thing that has really been confirmed is that Leyou/Tencent has the IP and is working on a game with Certain Affinity and Splash Damage. Besides that, info has been VARY sparse and not a whole lot else has been confirmed.

Believe me, I want this game to happen, but it's hard to deny all the negative things and not see they are in some serious trouble developing this game. We need them to give an update on this game.

oh yeah true forgot that the beta thing was pre-pandemic but thinking about it I doubt they'll give us a announcement on the game's state since I think iirc the only thing they officially announced was that they're making it and one or two name changes but realistically if the game is still happening I kinda want to say it's coming 2022 or 2023 honestly depends on what happens with leyou and tencent hell could release it early as a hail mary although that would end bad potentially but who knows

well with the issues with Leyou, Tencent probably changed the name because of how idiotic they were throwing titles around. So the domain was scrapped along with the name. I personally enjoyed the Transformers Online title, it had a nice ring to it. Transformers Impact would also go very well with the story but to encompass the entire online part of the game, i'm not so sure about that. I don't like it when titles resemble movies, especially when it originally is intended to be a standalone game. Such as Dark of The Moon or Rise of the Dark Spark.

Anyway, should this game continue, I would want it to be related to the game or expansion. Such as Shards of Aegis or Shards of Unicron (if my theory is correct). They could do alternate names such as Transformers Online: Shards of Aegis etc... But as most people know, I don't believe this game is dead because of Leyou's terrible power trip decisions. If anything Tencent will use their profit to keep the game going and get a stake in Certain Affinity. The thing to keep in mind is Leyou didn't own Certain Affinity. Certain Affinity is still its own studio. Subtle hints have been thrown around to suggest they might still be working on the game such as seeing that G1 Transformers Collectors edition box set in the Toronto Studio. No doubt many more easter eggs lingering around. I think the best thing for TF fans is to just sit back and watch where it goes instead of drawing conclusions.
