Guys, was the Cemetery Hunt Ops given 'clearance' to hunt both factions of TFs. I got the impression that it was only for the Cons. Reason being the White House waited to have a meeting with Prime?

No they did not have clearance, or at least they didn't tell anyone that they were hunting Autobots. I got that impression.

You too huh? I recall Secretary of Staff wanted to invite Prime for a thank you session? Makes some of the deaths really tragic and unnecessary.

the movie leaves the door open to the fact that maybe the president doesn't know they are also hunting autobots.

writing here is a little sloppy. they hint at that but at the same time have posters warning against all transformers.
people are told whether autobot or decepticon to report them all, all are dangerous.

so while the prez can deny a black-ops group its harder to deny a campaign like that to the people.

Yeah it does but the deaths of the characters really made the movie more serious, and I thought it drastically improved the movie.

Good point. I was so caught up with the movie and other distractions (World Cup) that I forgot the two scenes the secretary of staff was in - and the way he behaved was that the White House were unaware of the Autobot hunt.

If I recalled (correctly?), Harold or someone mentioned that the Autobots were given 'sanctuary' (or something like that) and gave the impression that as long as the Autobots remained low profile, they would be left alone.

So you can imagined my surprised when they hunted Ratchet...yeah, I have been avoiding trailers! LOL!

Yeah, I liked the tone of this movie. While DOTM felt more 'epic' in scale (IMO) the feeling that the good guys would triumph was always there. This time around the tension was always there.

Yeah, you got me. I initially wanted to put in Cemetery Wind's hunt but my brain just 'short circuited' from tiredness! :)

Cemetary Wind was definitely not authorized to hunt Autobots. They had gone rogue, Kelsey Grammar's character was using the organization to set himself up for a rich retirement.

Even KSI wasn't aware they were melting down autobots....except at the very top.
