https://www.yahoo.com/tech/dont-risk-your-life-to-save-your-smartphone-91043561164.html No really....people are dying over them.
I don't know about dying for them, but I'm sure willing to murder someone if it meant making the swapping/upgrade process a bit easier.
I'm not understanding he whole open pit toilet and how you suffocate in it. Am I not getting something?
This is old. Was already posted here to I though? Either way, way to go dumb ass, was the phone worth it?
Its a shit hole...so I'm thinking all the nauseaous gas from the shit caused them to pass out and either the gas was enough to suck out the oxygen or some (the 2 who died) fell face first in the shit and suffocated in that manner. When i read the title i thought it was about the 15 year old girl who lost her life last week in Cali due to cell phone robbery. Some guy stole her cell phone and ran to his car to get away. Feel bad for the girl but damn why be stupid to try to stop the thief by jumping on top of the car. LA Times
LOL Yes. The pit was at least 6 feet deep from what I read in the original article when this was posted before. At that depth, the methane from all of the waste (it's a public toilet, they said) not only builds up, but it's at lethal levels and if you're down there, you'll succumb to the gases and whatever else. There's little to no oxygen down that far, once all of the waste gases have built up. It's a sad story, but shows that we're just too addicted to these things. If I was taking a gander out of the Willis Tower on their glass observation boxes and the glass broke and my phone fell but I survived, I'd certainly learn to live on. (And the glass has actually broken, with people on it. No one harmed, fortunately.) It would suck to replace the phone, sure, but life is irreplaceable.
Yeah no if my phone went down the toilet. I'm not bothering to rescue it...hell would it still even work?
