IDK, always see "cm" as the standard measurement for toys from metric system using areas.

They use both in Japan for Macross, SOC, etc.

cm/mm are really easy to change between so there's no difference.

Did you mean to say it looks like Omega's been made back into a small fruit pastry?

'Cause otherwise, your comment is a little...what's the word?

    *Cue the UK Spaz Censors!*

Your industry uses mm for travel??
As in from Philly to LA?

Or movement of an item? And dependent on the industry I can see using MM for dimensions when things are small and fractions of CM..

But for a flat 33cm.. What's the point of measuring it in mm? Other than making it sound bigger of course.

Um. I don't really see a difference. The picture is taken from a low angle that, even without additional parts, would make it seem taller. I can't even tell if the "height" is due to a curved lens or just the photo being taken at the foot, which would make R2D2 look big. It doesn't help that the text covers what I assume is the additional part.

The only thing that I can really distinguish is the thighs..

Anyone got a OS handy to see how many mm tall he is without the extensions?

I'd be more impressed if they gave him new legs and arms. This "upgrade" is just ******ed.

Industry and trade is usually in mm. However, consumer products that don't require fitting are often measured in cm as precision isn't really needed.

All in all, as long as it is accurate, should it matter?

The angle and the lens do make it hard to gauge the finished product, though.

See here it makes sense to me. I can see the use of mm vs cm (it's more precise)

Exactly where higher precision is needed mm makes sense.. toys it doesn't really need that (maybe specific parts but not the overall height).

It doesn't really matter, it's just silly that they use that to in my opinion make it sound like it's bigger than it really is. Someone who's less educated and doesn't know how to convert mm to cm, or inches or whatever your preferred method is, may think that 330mm is huge.. It's just under 13 inches with the extension (might as well be 13 inches since it's like .008 off).

I still would rather know how it compares to the stock omega (how much height does it add). More useful information would have been pictures of both versions of OS side by side at the same resolution, instead of that derpy small photo.. not to mention the perspective completely screws it up..
Which is a shame, as this might be something i'd consider picking up if I could see it better..

That looks great! So simple, yet so elegant. Precisely what was lacking on him!
How much will this cost? 30 dollars? Great price, instant buy.

to each his own on this one. Speaking for myself I will have to wait and see a few more parts and see what he looks like once Crazydevy is a few sets along. I think there could be a lot of potential to do something really cool but I like omega the way he looks now an need to see more before pulling the trigger.

    Maybe it's just me....

But I'm really diggin' these. One of my biggest problems with the G1 Omega toy was that, when you pulled the arms out in to position, he looked like a freakin' ape. His arms were WAY too long for his legs. This addition changes that. I would have liked him to bend at the knees - no question - but it is an improvement.

....but he still needs a face!

Not that I have an Omega Supreme to utilize this with, but it sounds like a great idea. I always knew he was squat. They will probably make some for the Guardian robots too.

BBTS listed this for $40: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=CRD10032&mode=retail

I still have yet to bite on any of the CrazyDevy kits except for the Predaking stuff. I'm definitely starting to be in the "Finish a set" crowd. Seems like the only one finished so far is G1 Devastator. And some would argue he has more to upgrade.

Where's the All-in-1 kit for Devs?!? I am 99.9% sure they'll just never do it :(
