I know we have individual appreciation threads and I guess this has probably existed before but as far as I'm aware one hasn't existed while I have been here and I want to know who will win. I know people can appreciate both but I believe at our core if we were forced to choose we are all one or the other, which one are you? so that means no middle ground here. Please feel free to give the reason for your choice of pet and why you are right and why the other side is wrong etc. P.S. I'm team Cats as they are cooler and eviler
Dogs, absolutely no question. I never have, and never will, like cats. I'm ok with other people's cats, but there's just something about living with one that I can't stand. Dogs on the other hand are great. Never met a dog I didn't like, or couldn't get along with. I'm just simply a dog person. That said, there are several other animals I think it would be interesting to have as pets. Rats, ferrets, snails, certain kinds of fish, small birds, snakes, lizards, turtles...Not all at once of course...
Never really liked dogs all that much growing up. We had dogs of all breeds and sizes, but I've always preferred cats and their independence. With a dog, it always wants attention or whatever, but a cat has more of self-sufficient streak that I find more appealing. I don't hate dogs (except yappy little ankle-biters), but I'll never own another one again.
Dogs rule that's why their man's best friend plus their domestic wolves is my reasoning. Plus wolves are my favorite living animal so that kinda helps my deshion
Cats are better hunters, well that is technically debatable but they have a stronger hunter spirit as even if you feed a cat they may still hunt. I have heard they do this to impress and as a sign of affection towards there owners and do this when they are happy. dogs may be more chummy with you and I know when cats are being physically affection they are probably secretly manipulating you but see they do express love too. My old cat was a really mean tortoiseshell who lost her temper and bit my mom, my brother, my ex, my dad and pretty much any other living creature that got in her way but she liked me and any creature that finds it really hard to show affection, when they do, trust me it melts your heart. composing this message is making me realise that my love of cats is sure explaining alot about my choice of girlfriend other the years, oh dear
Dogs, easily. I mean, I don't mind cats, but I just like Dogs a lot more. They're loyal and caring. And my dog obeys my every whim too, which is a nice plus. Cats basically stick with you just because you feed them and give them shelter. Dogs love you, and will protect you because of it.
Cat person all the way and even have a cat tattooed on my arm so I have dedication to cats cause of how much I love them.

I like cats. I find them fascinating and... cool, and I like their more quiet and independent nature.
I'm probably more of a cat person I think, but in either case I love animals way too much to essentially condemn one to my care.
