Count your blessings that it isn't a skunk... How big is the area that it's peeing on??? Some double sided sticky tape might work if the area's small... They sell it in strips at the pet store... Cats hate stepping on it...
Thank you for your helpful tips and sugesstions, everyone We will start from the chilli powder as we have some already in the kitchen. If it doesn't work, we'll go and get some sprays and sticky tapes. Hopefully I won't have to resort to pissing and crapping at my own door or hiring a big bloodthirsty dog. As for talking to the cat's owner, we don't know which cat is the culprit (we have a few hanging out on the street during the day).
Get one of them live animal traps, probably meant for raccoons. Or for real fun, get one of them old spring loaded traps with the teeth that clamp down on the pest. Either way, once trapped, leave mr. kitty on the owners doorstep. If they don't call the cops, they'll just think you're insane.
Just though of a good one..a motion detector hooked to an airhorn, or a garden hose. Every time he comes near, he gets doused or a piercing horn scares the shit out of him. Or both! Also works well on inlaws, and your family.
So you reckon the cat might start doing that number as well if we don't stop him now? (Just kidding.) So we sprinkled chili powder last night at the door. There was no mark at the door this morning. But it rained during the night so we think that is the more likely reason he didn't come to check his territory.
before air-zooka there was supersoaker. cats don't like those either, scares em off without hurting them.
I am sure it is. And we have a supersokar. I just can't bring myself to stake out at the front all night with a loaded water gun in my hand. And I may not be able to pull the trigger once I see that adorable creature. Their eyes are so cute at night.
