You completely ignored my question.
No.... But it shows me that the movies can work.
White car could be Tailgate.
i dont get distracted by strawmen
IF those photos are from set, i think that white truck could possibly be Trailbreaker.
by "movies can work", you mean it showed you that transformers can work in live action?
Considering that's the name of an organization, not a family line, yes.
Can't call something a strawman just because you don't have a rebuttal
Oh cool Cliffjumper is finally in the live action Movies
Oh...at least it's sticking close to source material.
No baysplosions this time around
the argument i first heard for these movies was "turn your brain off and enjoy the ride". are we now actually trying to defend bayverse storytelling as if its part of some intelligently devised universe? what about this universe is actually unique and worth preserving, i'd really like to know what you think
Not just that... But storylines that would have been awesome to explore.
When DOTM introduced Sentinel Prime, there was a great opportunity to explore Optimus Prime as a leader even further which unfortunately a director like Bay would not be able to handle.
Implying we're all a hivemind who act as one at any given point... "Oh someone said to turn your brain off.. Everyone must feel the same way! Other opinions must be illogical strawmen!"
1. Same thing that's worth preserving about pacific rim
2. It's brought a ton of money and recognition to the franchise
3. Fan favorite characters (and before you abject, blackout and barricade were micromasters before 2007, and nitro Zeus was a failed military op before 2017)
And I never once defended the storytelling, I simply stated that there is in fact lore in the movies that works if you're willing to do something besides watch the screen.
well at least you acknowledge that
I just have a sixth sense for those sort of things.
im just pretty sure you dont have a point that you're trying to make, you just dont like what i'm saying, and are trying to find holes in it rather than establish your own viewpoint.
my point is clear: 5 movies in, 5 sub-par results, clearly in any sensical rational world, that would be an indicator to do a hard reboot, not hire a fresh new talented director to give us a "G1 shell" over a "bayformers body".
I'm not here to argue. Yes, I'm poking holes in your flimsy arguments but only because you came into a thread that isn't about the aesthetic or success of the Bumblebee movie to talk about that.
so you agree you have no point, so what do you stand for? why even involve yourself in a discussion? am i only allowed to speak if i think everything is good, all the time?
Say whatever you want. Just speak in the appropriate outlets. A thread about what kind of cars to park at the filming of the new movie is not where you should talk about rebooting the series.
