I remember back in 2008 when Hasbro made the Hound/Ravage 2-pack and Ravage's cassette mode was labled as a 'prisoner transport form' because they thought kids wouldn't know what a cassette was.

And then GOTG happened to the point they put Cassette Tapes back in production for 'Awesome Mix. Vol 1' and the 80s resurgence hasn't slowed down.

I still have my GE Stereo Cassette Player. Also known as GE's version of the Walkman.

I was using tapes before it was cool.

Jesus Christ, why isn't this shit still sunk beneath the swamps of obsolescence where it belongs? One, very critical and very not music related field notwithstanding.

Cassettes? i bet under 30 people would be confuse if you hand them cassette, they not know what is because of the ipods lol

A lot of bands, mostly smaller ones on indie labels, have been putting out cassettes for at least a decade, I guess it's becoming a bit more mainstream now for some reason.

    Nah, thanks but nope.

Outdated tech is outdated. It's a matter of quality and practical usage.

I love how a small group of people cling to old tech. It's almost adorable.

I'm waiting for floppy disks to make a comeback. Can't wait to see some kid be mildly confused and ask why someone 3d printed a save button

I never stopped! My house is a mess of mix tapes and record players, aside from this computer I'm typing on, I got no use for modern tech. It's all about the process of making tapes or listening to albums for me, and I'm pleased as punch there's a sustained market, however niche, for the weird sh*t that I enjoy :)
