Hi everyone. Not posted here in a while, but I figured everyone would be interested in some cartoon soundtracks that have been released recently. They've suddenly become a 'thing' that soundtrack labels are interested in releasing. Amazing to think it's taken until the 2010s for them to realise that there are actually people that would buy this stuff!

    Ulysses 31 2-CD set (137 minutes)
    Home

Inspector Gadget 30th anniversary set (55 minutes)
Haim Saban, Shuki Levy - Inspecteur Gadget (Tele 80) - Amazon.com Music

He-Man 2-CD set (130 mins, this was actually from 2015 and I've mentioned it here before)
film music | movie music| film score | HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE - Shuki Levy - Haim Saban - Erika Lanen - Limited Edition

    Transformers: The Movie (78 mins)
TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE, THE (SCORE CD)

Jonny Quest 2-CD set (152mins, I know this is the 1960s version but it's still worth a mention)
    http://lalalandrecords.com/Site/JonnyQuest.html

Have I missed any? Please tell me because I'd probably buy it!

I guess most of you know already that 80s Transformers composer Rob Walsh and Sony are putting together the tv music for an album later this year. Word is that it's going to be on blu-ray only. I hope that's wrong, because I don't have a blu-ray player... CD please :)

I got several songs on my ipod i got off a website. If you can work around it you can get some good ones here:
    THEMES & SCORES Shuki Levy

It is Shuki Levy's website. He wrote themes for tons of stuff. Some of my fav ones are MASK, Pole Position, Jaycee and the Wheeled Warriors, 90s X-men and Mysterious Cities of Gold. Great music on those. Other stuff he did include Power Rangers, Heathcliff, 90s Spiderman, He-Man,

Thanks for the link, there's some amazing stuff on there.

HOLY F*** at the full-length MASK theme, with a second verse I never heard before...they even incorporated the "Illusion is the Ultimate Weapon" tagline. That made my week.

The sound quality on these is amazing, so much better than the TV broadcasts. How did you get them off the website? Are they available for purchase?

None... unless you happen to be browsing You Tube...

I have that, it's OK, but nowhere near as good as the original. It's sold out at La La Land records but Screen Archives still have some for $11.95.

THUNDERCATS (2011) (2 CD) -- SCREEN ARCHIVES ENTERTAINMENT

I wish they were. I have my fingers crossed that some companies will release the music for many of them.

I forgot to mention, Batman the Animated Series had 1 or 2 official soundtrack CDs, but IIRC they're pretty obscure.

Intrada released a Duck Tales CD on Tuesday. Here are the details:

DUCKTALES: THE MOVIE - TREASURE OF THE LOST LAMP

    David Newman
Label: Intrada Special Collection Volume ISC 372
    Film Date: 1990
    Album Date: 2017
    Time: 71:03
    Tracks: 22

David Newman score for Walt Disney animation tale finally gets long-awaited release on CD! Feature was spun out of popular 1987 animation TV series inspired by Disney artist Carl Banks, creator four decades earlier of Scrooge McDuck, Donald’s rich uncle. Along with nephews Huey, Louie and Dewey, clan embarks on a wild hunt for the treasure of Collie Baba. Shape-shifting sorcerer Merlock makes the journey difficult. A magic lamp complete with a wacky Genie and the requisite three wishes all factor in as well. Bob Hathcock directs, Alan Burnett scripts, Alan Young, Russi Taylor, Christopher Lloyd provide voices. A favorite project of composer David Newman, who considered it, “Like a dream experience for me.” Newman was afforded considerable freedom to write what he felt was most appropriate without interference. “It was lovely.” Newman scores for a large orchestra, writes wall-to-wall music, including several lengthy sequences. Strong degree of musical architecture results. Music often twists and turns on a dime, racing forward, stopping suddenly for quick pauses then continuing onwards. Excitement is name of the game! Vibrant recording by Tim Boyle made at Evergreen Studios in Burbank over 6 days in June 1990. Entire album is presented in crisp stereo sound from complete digital 2-track scoring session masters with 3 additional cues derived from the 30 its Dolby SR-format analog mixes, all courtesy Walt Disney Records. John Takis provides descriptive liner notes, Kay Marshall fashions gorgeous, colorful “flipper” cover. Choose your favorite! David Newman composes, orchestrates, conducts. Intrada Special Collection CD available while quantities and interest remain!

    Neat!
I'm surprised there hasn't been a CD release for this before now.
I always loved listening to the instrumental DuckTales theme that played during the end credits.

Apparently the End Credits track on the CD does not include the Duck Tales theme sung by Jeff Pescetto. It will only have David Newman's end credits music. I'm disappointed, to be honest.

Welcome to my world! The He-Man CD is permanently on repeat in this house.

Unfortunate that I'm in the UK and these CDs are US based, so I have to pay high shipping costs (thanks for that, USPS). The fall in the pound due to Brexit didn't help either. The music is still great, though.
