I would put money on it being Movie Related when it hits. I think the only reason we got Animated was they were afraid the movie would fail. Now we are going to get nothing but things tied into the movies. :(

The way things are going (and since I really don't wanna see a movie-based show), I actually wouldn't mind another anime.

I canĀ“t belive people forgot how crappy the animes were that they prefer it to a movie thing. At least in the movie there are no "shout attack!" things. While a movie series would not be bad, I prefer something original, but from western animation studios.

This. Don't care they do it or what direction it takes, so long as our main casts stays.

    He didn't detect the sarcasm.

Anyways, the possiblities for plot are like this:

    • Movie Based
    • Original
    • Continue an old story (unlikely)
    • Story based on Universe?

    And styles like this:

    • Cell Shading with Anime
    • Cell Shading Only?
    • Anime Only
    • TFA Style
    • 3D
    • New Style (But what?)

Yes. Almost all companies reneg on their promises where money is involved.

It seems Hasbro is falling back into the same situation when G2 was started.

    I hear you.

The last movie oriented series I saw was The Mask which was based on a comic book. While it was amusing I grew bored by it after awhile.

This is why if they go with a moviecentric toon some elements will not translate
well and will get watered down.

Some people like that but I don't.

wow...and here i thought this was a decent site to discuss things on... you are never too old to stop watching what makes you happy. I mean, i love transformers, and i am NOT going to pretend i enjoy reality television and the news when i don't. everything else is just depressing... news is a bummer, reality tv- yeah right! no one is that over emotional. I think i'll stick with the cartoons if they make me happy rather than pretend some crap that a network executive threw out to the viewers is pleasing.

Really hope we don't get a movie related series because I just don't think I could go from Animated's humans can't scratch Decepticons and it's a tough fight for the Autobots to a cartoon in the movie universe where the Autobots and humans would be killing loads of Decepticons every week because the movie bots are the weakest lamest Decepticons ever.

I don't think Anime is a bad art style for Transformers but we all know we wouldn't get the well written serious types of Anime we'd get the Anime only written for very young Japanese kids.

To be selfish I'd really like something that would fit in well with the Universe look, but maybe that's just because I'd like to be somewhere other than the bottom of Hasbro's list for a little while.

Maybe it will be something new since it's pretty clear Transformers aren't limited to just one art style. Whatever we get I just hope it's got good writing and interesting characters.

There are two concepts that will insure I do not watch the next cartoon. If it's based on the movie, if it's Transtech

I will NOT watch a Movie cartoon.
I will NOT watch another anime dub.
    I will watch Transtech
I will watch more Animated, because it's the best fucking show we've had since 1984.

I'd like something along the lines of a TFA:TNG. Same style of animation / toys, but continued a few years later, perhaps after OP has had a few years as Magnus and Bumblebee is mid-ranking Elite Guard officer.

They could have the surviving 'cons from TFA make a big return (a little like Megs in TFA S1), but then not make them the primary villains. It may even be interesting to see them forming a coallition to face a greater threat.
